View Full Version : Experiences with Heritage Mazda??
Jedi54 03-28-2005, 11:47 AM Hey Everyone,
Has anyone bought from Heritage Mazda in Tustin?
I've been to the one in H.B. and how to put this... I'll NEVER go there again.
Quick story time: Drove one for about 2 seconds cus that's all the sales guy would allow. The car was FILTHY, low on gas, and the Check Engine Light was ON.
Sales guy claimed the CEL was on b/c the car was low on gas!! Boy did I have fun correcting him on that one...
The reason I bring up Tustin is b/c I test drove one there a few weeks ago and the sales person was quiet pleasant as was the owner of the dealership who I had a chance to meet and greet for a while.
Considering going back there, any thought?
drupnoy1 03-28-2005, 12:42 PM Yea Heritage Tustin is pretty good in my book. That's where I bought my 8.
TR1GGERx1 03-28-2005, 06:13 PM service might be okay. but they tried to rip me off 600 bucks when i tried buying my car there. haha. which kinda sucked
Razz1 03-28-2005, 08:37 PM It's your salesman. I've seen some funky salesmen at Heritage in HB.
But guess what? The service is excellent! I bought my car at Beach.
Just get another salesman.
If you really want to buy a car get one who has worked there for a few years.
the new ones are idiots!

That's the scariest part of all, this guy has supposedly been selling Mazda's for 4 years! (A year and a half of that @ Heritage in H.B.)
I'm gonna laugh if this is the guy who sold you your Rx! j/k
budebaker 03-28-2005, 09:44 PM I had a really good experience with Hertiage in Tustin. They got me out of my auto and I was able to get a deal on a used stick that I was happy with. Much happier with the deal and the car.
If I were going to get another Mazda, I would definitely go to them first.
ULLLOSE 03-29-2005, 11:16 PM Bought a Tribute for my mother in law there and then a week later our RX8... They were great.
Sylan 03-29-2005, 11:26 PM Take it from me(I work at Mazda of San Berdoo) A Salesperson will rip you off for all they can. Ontop of that they'll be more then happy to sell you a pile of crap that doesn't even start(I've seen it done) So because they're so nice to your face, don't let that con you into somethin, make sure you check every last aspect of the vehicle before you get it.
As for the test car being dirty, that's not the salesman, that's a lazy lot porter(kinda like me ;) )
Mikelikes2drive 03-30-2005, 03:07 AM go to browning cerritos xP only 30 minutes from tustin... and 20 from huntington.
i wouldnt go to tustin for service... they were slow and didnt do the things i wanted them to do and complained.

Who was your sales person?
9kNback 04-03-2005, 01:36 PM Forget about Heritage Mazda. I installed an exhaust system and went in there about a week later to pick up some mazdaspeed strut bars i ordered and when i came back to my car some lady from the service department was taking down my VIN number and license plate number and told me that the exhaust wasn't warranty covered.
So obviously she had nothing better to do than screw over a customer. From my experience the salesman and the owner John aren't that bad but the people in the damn service deparment need to get their asses kicked. :)

Wingmanx212 04-03-2005, 04:20 PM I HATE TUSTIN! Thats about the nicest thing i can say about them. BTW that Biznatch lady you were talkin about is the service manager. Shes been know to do shit like that. F*ck Heritage Mazda. they can lick my right nut.
Jedi54 04-03-2005, 05:15 PM F*ck Heritage Mazda. they can lick my right nut.
Okay Wingman, tell me how you really feel... ;)
Wow, lots of good AND bad experiences from that dealership.
Thanks for all the info!
9kNback 04-03-2005, 05:18 PM My suggestion is if you're gonna just buy the car and not deal with the service department much then you're gonna be fine with Heritage. But if you're gonna get your oil changes, services, and repairs done there then find another dealer. But it's up to you. Hope I was able to help.
-Ryan :)
TR1GGERx1 04-03-2005, 05:27 PM go to brownings. we have a forum member there in the warrenty dept. name is Robert Glover. say that ur from the 8club. he helps out really good. and the service is really good there. located in Cerritos
Jedi54 04-03-2005, 10:55 PM You guys are the BEST!
Tr1gger, that's great news about having a guy on the "inside"
I'll keep you guys posted as I try to find the best deal I can on my future RX :-)
mikeb 04-04-2005, 03:05 PM tustin has been awesome for me
gilbert in service is the best
no questions asked
Outlaws eXtreme 04-04-2005, 03:40 PM The sales dept at Browning blows. Watch out for the older looking hispanic guy that's the Sales Manager... skinny, bald, and looks really creepy. He was wasting my time, the two times that I went there to buy the car. kept giving me the run around with a demo car.
Service Dept rocks though...especially the Rotary Techs... Thanks to Alex there, I feel comfortable bringing my car there.
ULLLOSE 04-06-2005, 11:16 PM Who was your sales person?
We hooked up with the owner, John, and used the fleet dept. Cant say anything about the service dept.... Only 3000 miles on it and have not had to go back. I may not use them for warranty work only because there is another dealer closer to me.

last post was a year ago, but thought i'd drop my 2 cents in the piggy bank since I've had nothing but good experiences with Heritage Mazda in Tustin.
Been there twice, once for the starter/battery upgrade after I flooded ( :Freak_ani ) and again today because of some grinding and violent vibrations caused by my brakes. Both times i was given proper service without hassle. Bob in the service department even pointed out problems before I could (moisture in tail lamps) and was more than willing to listen to and address a couple other small complaints.
2 thumbs up so far. I'll be picking up my car ina couple days, maybe i should save my praise until then, but i'm stoked to be dealing with a dealer that is NOT like the horror stories i've heard on this forum of other dealers.
newcastle 05-24-2006, 09:40 AM LOL....you already heard my story about HB Jorge. I test drove an 8 and about 1 mile into the test drive the car runs out of gas. I was stranded with a salesman waiting for his co-worker to bring gas. Pathectic huh.
