A 1949 Mercury Coupe to be exact. He is a little shit because he knows I always wanted one. The message he left on my machine enraged me. "Hey it's your brother, I just saw a sweet Merc Coupe, you would have loved it, it's parked in the driveway right now and registered to me...hahahaha" I'll have to go home and get some pics.

Anyone else want a car like this one day. I wouldn't mind a '54 Chevy either

Not his, but a beauty

They're not too rare. They made over 300,000 IIRC. The problem is finding an original car, which my brother did not. It is probably one of the more customized old cars out there.

Originally it came with a 255 ci flathead V8 making a little bit over 100hp. I think my brother said that his has 350 small block now, but he could have said he wants to put one in.

I can't wait to drive the thing!!
Apparently it is a flat black and was just painted 1 year ago. He has had it for a couple days now and said the best part is the bench seat up front ;)

Well, my brother paid a little over 40 CDN. I am sure the price could be much higher depending on the level of restoration or customization.

No, my brother is not a pimp, there is only room for one in the family...me! :D

Awesome car.

Tell him to dump a pile of bricks into the trunk to raise the nose.

I got one of my favorite cars awhile ago, a 68 Lincoln Continatal(pic in my sig). My grandfather left it to me when he passed, it is in pretty bad shape and have been working on getting it restored.

So the Continental had "freestyle" doors back then?
