Which car do you guys think is the best chick magnet?

RX-8 > S2000 > 350Z. The Z jus doesnt do it for me. Still a very impressive car tho.

There are a million 350Z's out there, not to mention the interior is just awful, chicks look at that. I agree with Captain Amazing RX8 > S2000 > 350Z

Damn that too hard man. Can you make this easy on us!!! Everyone has their own opinion and most girls I talk to like the RX8 a lot. But I'm taking the 350Z and RX8. I think of the S2000 more like I think of the Miata, very nice looking but not up to sex appeal status as the 350Z, RX8 or G35.

Girls really like the RX8 A LOT, so it definitely beats the 350. However, I'm not really sure which would win between the 8 and the S2000, the S2k has the convertible factor playing in its favor, and girls seem to really like that.
So, I'd probably say RX8 = S2000 > 350.

A friend of mine has an S2k, and if you only glance at them quickly, they look very similar with their features, so I put them on near level playing fields. I don't care if the Z is a faster, brutier car--I still think it's an ugly POS. It looks cumbersome. The G35c, though, is a totally different story...

I've never been able to do this before, but when I first got my 8, I picked up in a bar on a slow Monday night b/c the chick lived next to a Mazda dealership and knew all about the car. Like the other fellows said ... chickies like the 8. Don't forget with the s2000 and 350Z you can only carry one gal (not counting trunk). Whereas the 8, you can carry at least 3!! Done it many times and people just look at you like "Dang! What the heck does he do?" You can probably carry more but I don't allow anybody sitting on the rear center console :) With that in mind, don't rely on the car to get you girls (otherwise you're no better than the dudes in Vipers) ... you are the MAGNET! The 8 is just my prop.

Ngo, I think I can somewhat understand where your girl is coming from. From certain angles, I honestly am not a terrible fan of the front wells of the 8--they look like the Prowler sometimes, and that bothers me.

well coming from a girl i vote for the RX-8 since i picked it over the 2 others when i purchased it 1 year and 3 months ago....i like it cause its cute...lots of room for storeing bags from ( shopping) hehe....they are still rear on the streets...and the seats go way back;) oh and when you go out with your girls you can fit more then 1 other person in your car!!! thats a def. plus when you want to sport your ride!!

OK, Cute? no, I'm sorry Girlie girl, You can't call it cute. my MR2 spyder was cute, a miata is cute, but not the 8.

first of all girls loved my Spyder, more than the s2K. the S2k was hot because it looked mean but I just stole a girl from a guy who owned an S2k when she learned I owned an 8 so I guess girls do like it better. no for the 350 that's a guys car only car loving girls love it, but most will go for the G35 more. seriously I love my 8 and most of my girls love the 8 but some don't and it doesn't bother me because I love my 8. definately beats the s2k and 350 for appearance. s2k for power, but not the 350, but Power isn't why I bought the 8. well it is but not only. BTW I had my girl and two of her friends in the car one night and it felt good, because I definately couldn't do that in my spyder, or any of those other cars. :cool:

I will note that I was surprised last weekend how many people still turn and look at the 8 as I drive by. The car's been out long enough that I would have expected that to stop by now.

Its my experience that the RX8 turns more women's heads--my theory is that at first glance they think it may be a real exotic--especially at night with the blue-lens, large 5 spoke wheels, and muscular fenders. They like the 350Z but around here, if its not fixed up with rims and what not it won't turn too many heads. I've only seen the S2000 turn asian girls heads (from my totally unscientific expeditions into Houston nightlife). The RX8 has more curb appeal than the other two.

Even though I'm a girl, I get a lot of comments from girls at my salon than guys. They love the way it looks. I was trying to decide when car shopping between the 350 or the 8 and I picked the 8. There are so many 350s on the road around here that people don't think as much of them as they used to. Now the 8, that's extremely rare in my area :)

Yeah, my friend who has an S2000 always gets a lot of girls asking him for rides because they want to ride around in a convertible. When I get asked to take them for rides, they always seem to oogle over the styling. They seem pretty even in the amount of interest generated. Z's don't seem to get a whole lot of attention around here. I suppose it's because they've got a bit of Mustang syndrome (too many on the road).

Yea da 8 gets some heads turnin especially at night... the 350z is hott but it does have mustang syndrome wayy to many around. The s2000 is hott and girls have told me that from the front it kinda looks like my 8 so ither way the 8!!!

I'm not sure since with my eight I get girls who are attracted to my car but they are ether older (ex rotary owners) or high schoolers (they like the lines). Girls my age look at the s2k more, my friend and I parked our cars together just to test it out one day and we noticed more girls our age were checking out his car.

What's funny is on the area I live I get more compliments & notice people looking at my car now (RX8) than I had when I was driving around my Porsche 911. Of course I'm in Mercedes, BMW, Porsche heaven here in Glendale/LA.

Probably not as much as west LA. I remember once I was driving down to Beverly Hills BMW from Westwood & all at once there were 2 other Porsches driving next to me going down the street. I just chuckled, only in LA. Out here people don't even look sideways at the 911 Turbo. In Glendale there is a disprportianate amount of wealthy Armenians, and for them the status symbol of cars is MBZ. I laugh when I see s class Mercedes. Here you have a $100K car, and you might as well have a Ford Taurus. BMW, Porsche, MBZ all plentiful here. I got to know some Armenian kids that were in their early 20's & they were driving around in Porsches. I was amazed until i went to their houses and they were all living with their parents. It's not the fact that they were making a lot of money (some were), but that they had no living expenses other than the car. Porsches in LA are a dime a dozen (hate to say that as I really liked mine). Too much money out here. On the positive note I am lucky to see 1 or 2 RX8's in a given day vs. 10 305 Z's, & 10 Infiniti G35's.

Out of the three discussed here, I think the 8 is best, often garnering favorable comments from the ladies. However, the absolute best chick magnet I ever drove is a Hummer H2! A friend of mine asked me to drive his for a few weeks to put mileage on it (another story). Man, it was a POS to drive and I hated it, but, everywhere I went chicks really dug it! Absolute strangers asked for rides and jumped in! They loved the "hunky" looks and the DVD in the headrests didn't hurt either. So, the Hummer is a bummer, but if you want to score you can't ask for more!

On the road in traffic the other day, I pulled to a stoplight. I was about 3 feet away from the civic to the right lane. It was bumpin' music so it attracted attention. When it goes green I pull up and see them speeding up with me. Nothiing but chicks right there. Five chicks all waving at me... or my car actually.

This is so true in Southern California. I see Porsches EVERYWHERE. BMWs and Benz' are even more common. They turn heads... kinda. I swear does everyone have a Cayenne down here? :-/ You need a Lambo or Ferrari to really have someone ooh-ahh and crane their necks.

As for the 8 in so cal... driving the 10 miles to work today, I saw 2 other RX-8s on the way. Getting quite common.

But the Spyder isn't ugly! I admit, the huge headlights are pretty dumb-looking, but I've grown to like them.

Unless you're a huge girl, the car shouldn't be too small for you. Try taking some curves- the mid-engine layout combined with it's 2,150 lb weight will make you like the car more. It is definitely underpowered, but that's its only drawback.

lol, did I mention that it was my mom's car? Agree that the spyder has minimal storage space (i can barely go grocery shopping for crying out loud!) Top down is fun but i'm not liking the MST at all.

This is such a silly topic.... A bunch of people, mostly of the male variety, on the RX-8 board, discussing which of the RX-8 or some other cars is the best "chick magnet." This makes sense? :confused: And to compound the silliness, much of the "discussion" has revolved around which those of the female persuasion might find to be a better car, which I think is not the same thing as the original question anyway.

It certainly can produce some amusing responses (3 at a time in the RX-8), but what would you expect the consensus to be on the RX-8 board? Go to either the 350Z board or the S2000 board, and they wouldn't give the RX-8 a second thought. Maybe you need to find a "chick board," and ask there.

But, as long as I'm here, I'll add to the silliness--for sheer attention-getting, there's nothing (short of a true exotic) which will garner admiring stares like a shiny convertible on a sunny day (and the RX-8 doesn't come with a can-opener). Neither the S2000 nor the 350Z with the top up is particularly a head-turner, but with the top down....

124 Spider, I agree, it's silly. That is, however, why it's fun. There's something that alot of people here seem to miss anyway. Guys like different cars, just b/c we're all different people. Some guys may forget sometimes, but girls are people too... lol. Some may like the S2000 better, some may like the RX-8, etc. It's all personall preference. It's not like cars have a sex. Cars are either fast and cool looking or thier not. Granted they can look more masculine or feminine, but I think all 3 cars are masculine to a degree. I was warned about the 8 being a magnet prior to purchasing mine (finally after a year's pursuit)...and was warned afterward...and it truly is. I simply cannot get my 11-year old daughter out of the back seat (same for the 5-year old). Whenever I went anywhere in my previous car it was a solo trip. Now the 11-year old will even go to the auto parts store with me. It is a great FAMILY car!

very true, whenever i see GT2s on the street i fall over in awe, meanwhile everyone else in a 30 yard radius looks at me like im crazy.

in West LA its jew jews and persian jews but i live in an older area so theres mostly benzes and rolls royces, and when their kids come to visit its mostly 911's and m3's

Hmm. Girls like all 3 of those cars, but yea I'd put the Z at the bottom of the list if I had to. Its prolly a tie then between the 8 and s2000. A lot of girls love convertibles, but a lot cant stand them cause the wind messes up their hair :(

RX8- Attracts gold digging chicks who are all about image, and worry about their hair

S2000- Younger, more naive chicks who are outgoing, and easily fooled into thinking you are rich.

350Z- a combo of both, but you get the leftovers of RX8 and S2K. :)
