Hi

Because of the confusion re delivery dates decided to get a quote from Mazda themselves. Just got off the phone 5mins ago so here a summary of what they currenly are telling me. Please feel free to independently verify.

Cars allocated on a first come first Serve Basis (assume this depends on whats in the first batch - Hi power?)
Launch is scheduled for End of July
First customer ship....wait for it..August or September
Dealer test drive vehicles - not until september...

The rep also assured me that we will be getting notified of an actual delivery date within 10 days.... (have we heard this before?)

I think you'll find that that info is the generic info that the customer service people have, not the people "in the know" at Mazda.

Which is the issue with all of this - confilicting info.

However, the way we will finally get some info is when we get our delivery dates from Mazda "in the next 10 days"

As of today lunchtime (11/06) I was told by a Michael Davy (01322 ******) that no customer cars would be available until 2nd week of September and that this could go back further if Japanese demand remained strong.

This is a killer for me as the company car goes back in July !

I think it's best if we don't post direct dial numbers for mazda employees unless they specifically authorise it. Just my paranoia

noone will get a car in August. Sorry.
