Can someone rip the sounds from some of the videos, or let me know where I could get the RX-8 sounds in either wav or mp3 format. I am trying to find sounds of the car starting and the car revving that I could use on my desktop as its startup sound and other stuff

ooh how do you do that. i have the sound on a couple of trhings plus that link lensman pointed out. how do you make it your start sound?

Assuming you're using Windows, go to "Sounds" or "Sounds and Audio Devices" (depending on your Windows version) and specify what audio file you'd like Windows to use for various sounds.

doh i don't have teh wav file if someone could rip the one in the other thread(the one from mazda not the bridge ported one) that would be a big help.

does anyone know how to take this link http://special.rx-8.mazda.co.jp/asx/rotarysound.asx and make it into a save-able downloadable file? I got a really $@#$@ internet connect and after 3 long tries the file could not play strait through for more than 3 seconds at a time - super fustrating. I need a cable connect, cause I am beginning not to be able to tolerate going online anymore with this computer.

Man I wonder how fast it was going at that point! :)

To record .asx streams, you can try ASF Rcoder. Do a google search to get to the site.
