Yesterday, a friend of mine was inaugurating his new (and second) Mazda dealership here in Quebec City, Canada. Allready the 3th dealer in Canada, no need to say that he's well regarded by Mazda Canada.

Anyway, the president of Mazda Canada, Mr Mike Benchimol was there and I had a change to speak with him and asked the famous question:

"When do you thing MY new RX-8 will arrive???"

His answer: "After pushing back the delivry date by one month to make sure that the quality was up to Mazda's standard, the cars are coming and you should get your car by the end of June... " :D

So I guess, coming from the Prez, that this info is pretty accurate and also apply to our american friends!:)

Now, does anyone want to buy a 40000km Audi TT !

sweet, cause that's what my dealer here in Vancouver told me! End of June!

i guess we'll just have to wait and see...but i didn't just talk to the sales person, I also talked with their business manager about it! but I'm going to call my dealer soon to check up on it again and hopefully get myself the Accessories Brochure!! I also got bumped from 11th to 3rd on the queue, and my dealer told me specifically I'll be getting one of the first RX-8s when it arrives! Argh, I can't wait!!!!!!!!:mad:

I'm sorry to say that the accessories brochure is still not available, also there is still no pricing for the accessories listed in the RX-8 brochure. :mad:

I'd read somewhere Canada's would be arriving first. I'm not sure ; don't quote me on that. If might help explain how the USA bound cars seem to start in the 600s sequentially on our VINs. Unless they started at 00600 ? Maybe our dealer friend that told us yesterday that up to 1774 were factory status can tell us the lowest number?

i talk with my dealer yesteday and he said that a will get my car for the 6 of july.he make a mistake wen he order my 8 ,he order a automatic so he call mazda canada to ask them if they order one like mine and they said yes ,so he pick the cars from mazda canada and he told me that i will receive my 8 before my date.and all other 8 will be expect by middle of july.this is in quebec montreal canada:D

'Mr. President' doesn't even know how much his accessories cost, and seems incapable of posting even the Accessories brochure on his site - so what makes you think he knows squat about delivery?
Mazda Canada has consistently failed to reach even the un-impressive levels of service of Mazda UK, the acknowledged leader in awful service - this makes them useless knobs, and makes him King-of-the-Knobs.
So what did he look like at this event with his head up his ass?

Hey Stealth, the last time I spoke to Tony in Leduc he also stated that they should be in around the end of June. I know it sounds optimistic but hey let's hope its true!
