This meet is scheduled to be held on the 17th of January (aka Martin Luther King Day). It will start at 10:00 A.M. and is going to be located the Blue Angel Park in Pensacola, Fl. Anyone wishing to attend please post and let us know that you will be coming so we have an idea of how many 8's will be there as well as people. I hope this can be a success.

The entrance is a couple miles down from where you get off of Hwy98. Go straight down to the waterfront when you pass the entrance fee booth. I'll be at the end of the road.

Go down to the entrance of Blue Angel Park. When you get to the guard shack (where you pay your entrance fee) follow that road all the way down to the waterfront...a straight shot. The 8's will be down there in plain sight. I'll even make sure the toll person knows that there will be a gathering of cars and where to point folks to. See you there. My car wouldn't start this morning. I'm having the dealership tow it in the morning to get it running again. I never had a problem in 1.5 years and the day that I have somewhere to be it floods. But I'll see ya'll next time. Sorry I missed it.

Sorry I couldn't make it, but I just turned my paper in about 10 minutes ago (I ended up being about 4 minutes late). Maybe next time (and hopefully it'll be warmer).

What/when is the "cool car's of Pensacola meet"? Is it an official show, or an informal gathering?

keith was passing out a flyer. it's on the 29th (Saturday) at the Big Lots parking lot on Navy Blvd in Pensacola. He said it was like an informal gathering, no dues, no crap, just cars.

I'm sure he'd be able to tell you more about it.

Cool Cars of Pensacola...a new group that will focus on the cars, the owners, and getting both out and about. Our first gathering will be 29 Jan at 5:00pm until ????. We plan on doing regular runs (like poker runs) and rallies to car shows. No dues, no obligation to participate, no particular year/make vehicle required. Right now we'll have around 3 Vipers, 1 1950 Ford Police Cruiser, 1 Camaro, and ?? RX-8's. All are invited to join the new group. The more the merrier.

Saturday 5 Feb will be our first rally to the Pensacola Mopar Association, Inc. & Cruiser Automotive Annual Open Car Show & Show and Shine, 8am to 2pm, Rain date following Saturday. Location-Cruiser Automotive, 2415 W Nine Mile Rd. NO CLASSES, Best of Show and Top 5; NO ENTRY FEE, Free Burgers & Hot Dogs.

This is a free show...so Cool Cars of Pensacola will be there in force. Please drop by on 29 Jan if you'd like to participate...but you're also welcome to come with us to the car show on 05 Feb, even if you don't show up on 29 Jan (remember...no obligation).

Ya...the Cool Cars of Pensacola will be meeting every Saturday evening at 5:00 pm (if good weather) starting 29 Jan. We will be meeting at the Big Lots/Payless Shoes parking lot on Navy Blvd (near NAS). On 05 Feb we will meet around 7:00am at the Big Lots parking lot and road rally up to the car show. You don't have to be a member to participate in the weekly meetings or road rallies. We probably won't meet the evening of 05 Feb at Big Lots on Navy because we will be at the car show all day...but then again, we might. We'll see who's interested.

On a side note, I have a buddy in Japan that can get me 3 more Sony PSP's with Ridge Racer games. I showed a couple of you the one I received over the weekend. These are sold out in most parts of Japan and won't be released in the U.S. until March (at the earliest). He can get the PSP value pack + Ridge Racer game for $400 bucks each (including shipping). The Japanese PSP are region free and will play both U.S. and Japanese games.

This is not a scam...two of you saw the one I got last weekend. You won't be able to find it on ebay any cheaper (PSP Value Pack with Ridge Racer).

Thanks for the info on the "Cool Cars" bit. My -8 will be laid up in the stereo shop for several weeks starting on the 25th of Jan, so I doubt I'll be seeing you guys any time soon (my beater '94 Accord that I'll be driving doesn't really count as "cool")...but when it gets done, I'll be looking to show it off for sure.
