highlights:

2006 Mazda RX-7: If the RX-8 is the success Mazda is banking on, a two-door RX-7 may follow for 2006. On the drawing board is a shortened, lighter car boasting 280-330 hp.

2006 Nissan Skyline GT-R: The next-generation super sports car may make it to our shores --through official channels.

2006 Volkswagen Microbus: Just as the Golf's platform lends itself to the New Beetle, the Microbus will sit on a version of the Eurovan's platform. Styling for the new model is a modern interpretation of the classic 1950s/1960s Microbus. The distinctive minivan will be built at the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles factory in Hanover, Germany, in 2005. At auto shows, Volkswagen has shown a pickup truck and camper van scale models based on the Microbus concept hinting at future possibilities.

2007 BMW Z2: A roadster spun off the small and affordable 1 Series.

it is... the G35 here is what the Skyline has always been there, we just haven't the GT-R...

the GT-R model of the Skyline is kind of like the EVO next to the ("real") Lancer...

word on the street was (i have no idea what the theories are now) that the GT-R will no longer be a car based off of the Skyline, but an entirely new car unto itself...

That what I've heard as well. GT-R will be GT-R alone.

No, the (Skyline) GT-R will still be based off the same FM platform as the G35, the only thing that's changing is that they might not call it the "Skyline GT-R" anymore, just "GT-R".

The GT-R will probably be expensive... hitting the corvette z6/dodge viper price range.
