Thanks Pkskull77 12-14-2004, 12:53 PM I ran a little experiment, using Peanut Butter, take a look and decided if you want to try it. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=47387 mikeb 12-14-2004, 01:24 PM anyone know how to remove the whole side mirror? I'm continuing to experiment with 3M Adhesive & Wax Remover (http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=17278), followed by, of all things, a tire shine dressing (any of the silicone-based clear liquids; i.e., Black Magic Tire Shine). Also, be sure to do a search in the future, as there have been a couple of threads on this topic in just the last week. TownDrunk 12-15-2004, 03:47 PM Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Seriously? Thanks! ibfubar2000 12-17-2004, 12:40 AM I use Mequiar's NXT Tech Protectant I just spray it on a clean rag and wipe across all black pieces cleans off wax and dirt and looks great i use it around the sunroof and around the mirrors no hassle and looks good! hotpot 01-02-2005, 07:15 AM I'm still trying to find a product to remove the white residue from the exterior plastic bits on the car (rear lower bumper, side-mirrors casing). I don't think I can get the magic eraser stuff where I live. I've tried a few different products but none seem to clean off the white stuff properly. And I'd rather clean it than use black on black, which would be as a last resort. Any advice? mysql101 01-02-2005, 07:24 AM hotpot, hopefully you realize that black on black isn't some sort of paint or black substance. It's a white liquid that will clean it. hotpot 01-02-2005, 07:46 AM Hmm ok. I'll look for it then. I thought it was a black substance that just puts the black back in fading black plastic parts. mysql101 01-02-2005, 08:01 AM yeah, I thought it would be black too, and was suprised that it was a milky white substance. It really cleaned off the wax on black plastic parts though. nomopistons 01-02-2005, 08:15 AM use an alcohol based cleaner- something like rubbing alcohol, Windex...........or Everclear :D SLiM8 01-02-2005, 03:55 PM if its textured, use a small soft nylon brush with any all purpose cleaner and follow up with vinyl/plastic protectant.
