I went to pick up my brochure today, and my salesperson said she had my build date - 1st week of June. She also said deliverys are taking 12 weeks from the build date - so, that would be the last week of August, as predicted previously. The order reference number is 200306000768 - does anyone know what means? I'm guessing: 2003, June, and the 768 is probably the number of cars built in June.

what is this brochure? Is it something new? What is in it?

The Ord Ref # has to do with the actual vehicle you will eventually get. On the inventory report I have, for some cars it is the VIN, the rest is a number similar to yours. Mine is 200304000544. It comprises the year, maybe a dealer code, and a sequential number of some sort. Mine was ordered Jan 9th, has an "Asgn Date" on the report of Jan 16. You may also get or see a Vehicle Request ID which is longer and starts with 2003. That seems to be an internal tracking number having to do with the year, month, maybe a dealer number - those on my report mostly begin with 20030151482000nn, except a few 20021151482000nn, so it appears to be the year and month of order then dealer code then a sequential (last 5 digits) number.
My dealer didn't have the VIN yet or brochures as of yesterday (May 15th).

Hope you have more luck than us Brits. Original delivery was July it's now been put back to September!!

Production July, 36 days to ship & September UK registration.

My car is in the third allocation.

I'm third allocation as well. Just confirmed today with a copy of the order list, a build date of first week in June. This timing is actually going to work out pretty well for me considering my birthday is September 13th and I was planning for August or very early September delivery. Will have it just in time!

Theoretically it means begin of production. It'd be nice if some of us started getting the VIN email from Mazda so we really know!

We have not even had our 1st by then !
