This may have been covered before, but....I just picked up an actron code scanner with erase function from pep boys $80. It works well with the RX8 and it will read/clear codes and shut off the check engine light.

It seems like a very handy tool to have just in case your check engine light, lights.
Go into the dealer "armed" with knowledge.

I'm looking forward to Hymee's setup (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=39583) when it is out, but I might spend a little now like you did just for my own curiousity. Thanks
