Since my 2004 GT was totaled by an old lady in a Grand Marquis, I got an identical 2005, but its handling seems softer.

Grip level is OK (as far as I've pushed it in the break-in period), but there seems to be significantly more motion from left to right than I remember.

Imagination or known change?

I think the only way to tell is to take a friend's '04 and drive it one after the other...
congrats for the new '05

did you check the tire pressure?

I think I read somewhere that the 05's will sometimes have an alternate tire brand besides the Potenzas. That might explain it.

the fact your 04 tires were worn and the new 05 tires werent probably explains 99% of it. that and all the bushings are top notch clean and everything it working as should.

epitrochoid... the 2004 was 3 months and 4000 miles old. Hardly worn tire and bushing territory.

Baron... the tires are the same Bridgestone Potenza 225/45s as was on my 2004

GuitarJunkie... Since my race tire gauge went missing at the body shop, I don't yet have one I trust, but I think they're OK. And the slop feels less road to wheel than wheel to chassis.

Jason... Pbththth!
