Would there be any interest from any members in a meeting of RX-8 owners after the delivery of their vehicles?
I am posting on behalf of Brooklyn Mazda, mazda main agent in Worcestershire.
Our dealer group represents Ford, Mazda, Skoda and Citroen in this area, and has for many years been actively involved with motorsport and performance cars.
This summer our Ford RS department are looking to stage a RS day at a local airfield. Seeing an earlier post regarding a RX-8 owner meet I would like to gague reaction, from members from across the UK, to their possible participation in a joint RS/RX-8 performace day hosted by the Brooklyn group.
Nothing confirmed as yet but would be intrested in your comments. Thanks.

If it's THIS summer that you intend to run this event then I'd think again. Few if any of us will have our cars before August at the very earliest (in my opinion). I'd be up for it though, it's be good to meet a lot of you forum names. We could club together and buy a couple of cans of Mazda Titanium Grey spray paint to improve Oilman's RX-8 for him ;-)

I would consider it, but Im not sure about thrashing my car round a circuit for reasons Ive said before. Now if it was someone else's car thats another matter!!

More of an owners meeting, rather than full on track day.

I'm up for this. Been doing the same thing with all my cars in the past, so certainly be looking for some RX events to attend!
If you don't want to track the car then there's no reason why we can't go for a "spritied" drive round some nice little back roads instead .. ;)

Sounds good to me , shame I wont have one till november at least.
I probably wont want to thrash mine round a track but wouldnt mind a medium/fast pace'ed go, with the DSC crap switched off :)

I don't see the problem with track-days personally, at least from a car wear-tear or warranty standpoint. I think people make a lot more of the issue than is needed. I've done over a dozen days in my cars, one being my old Mazda MX-5 10AE.
My dealer never questioned my warranty etc, and I had a couple of things replaced under it, yet they were aware I had done trackdays in the car.
