Guys, just thought i'd post to let you all know i picked up my car (titanium grey) on wednesday and have forgotten everything since. I can't remember work as it is just thinking time on where i'm going to drive next.

Impressions, first thing i noticed was how tight the steering is yet unlike a lot of other cars the ride isn't compromised. Also since it only had 15km's on the clock it is taking all my will to restrain myself. You can tell it is only really warming up at 6k rpm when i'm having to change. Power delivery is sooo smooth as well. Having never owned a rotary i am now a convert!! :)

Crossing the harbour bridge every day i've been going to the toll gates just to do a stop start.

I know i'm telling you all something you already know but i suppose it is good that everyone seems to think the same things.

anyway if you can't tell i'm excited.

Hey Cmac,

Wondered when you were going to surface!

Glad to hear the mile wide shit-eating grin is stuck to your face too!

Congratulations on picking up you car.

How does the body kit look? Post some pictures.

I won't ask about fuel economy as mine is shot at the moment - that damn go button is just too tempting.

Mine had 17 km on the clock on pick up and now a week later has 494 km. Trying to stay below 5K is hard as the car wants to rev away all on its own (well, that's my defense when I get my first speeding ticket "it wasn't me officer, it was the car"!).

I still owe you a beer or two for helping me out with my purchase negotiations.Feel free to collect whenever you make to Brisbane.

Thanks everyone,

thought i'd change my avitar from the tow truck as i'm no longer "picking one up"

Kiwimeat when i make it up there that beer sounds great. If i have my way i'll be driving! Still got a grin a mile wide.

Suddenly every punter with a hyndai excel a bolt on jam jar & small airplane wing is wanting a race!!

Need to get some picks and look forward to a few cruises. I have yet to see more than one RX8, a mob of them would look amazing!

I sometimes use the Bridge in the morning to get to the office at around 7am :D

Im usually under the tunnel see around 3 other Rx8 coming opposite way on epping road nearly every day :)

Ill look out for a titanium now. As the rest were reds and a black. I have a sunlight silver.

Regards
Phillip
