View Full Version : S2000 owners seeing RX8s in the states
Being a former owner of an S2000, I still visit their site since it is very good site. Anyway, there are some members that have seen the 8 around, and I was wondering why nobody on this site has seen one on the road. Obviously excluding any events that Mazda uses to show off the car. Here is the thread, I was just wondering what people here though about this.

ACRX8 05-12-2003, 03:18 PM Link does not work!:(
the link does work, and there are several ppl on there that have sighted RX's in LA and Houston...none of them got to talk to the drivers, all just suspected they were either from the RevItUp Event, a preproduction model, or it was won from Fear Factor...not much other information other than that...
how come ppl from other boards are luckier than the enthusiasts on this site?

This web site sez: The RX-8 will be at "Hot spots from Deep Ellum to the Museum district" From May 5-May17
Thats probably why the Dallas RX-8 sightings....
IGOZMZM 05-12-2003, 03:46 PM The people that won them on Fear Factor do not have their cars yet. they had to order them just like we have. Now they may get them before we do because of the show tie in but they don't have them yet (there is one of the winners on this forum somewhere, and so says he)
I figured Cali would see it, and Texas since RevItUp was there. But I thought someone from SC saw it, and that's when I thought I might be going crazy.
Thanks for some clarification.

PS - I'm on the east coast, why would I ever check out the west side!! ;)

zoom44 05-12-2003, 04:36 PM you should let them know that while there may be cars "on the road" they are not production cars that have been delivered to their owners. they don't seem to be understanding that.
Hmm I haven't seen one yet I live in OC and commute regularly to Irvine for school. I was thinkin we'd be the ones that get to see it first since Mazda's North America operations is based in Irvine.

I think I did say that. But if they don't understand, I can't help that. It doesn't really matter anyway. We all know the truth!! :)

DrKillJoY 05-12-2003, 09:53 PM to my knowledge , none have been spoted on the ROADS in Houston expect maybe during the RevitUp weekend... the one that came for the autoshow never left the parking lot, no matter how much I begged... :)
