Guy's I got the car and I love it. I do have a few questions about the Nav system though.
a. Does anyone know how to set the clock on the nav system? Min never changed with daylight savings which I thought was odd.
b. Can I play DVD's in this? Will it harm the system in anyway if I put a DVD in the drive?
I guess changing the startup screen is out of the question your right its probably something built into the firmware. I wouldn't want to mess with that.
Thanks in advance for the help

GregHi Greg - welcome to the RX8 family ;-)
Your questions have been answered in many posts in the appropriate section but I will give it a shot.
a. You can enable/disable DST from the Setup Menu, that will fix the wrong hour issue. You can't set your own time (say 5 minutes ahead for example) because it is governed by the GPS satellites so it should be pretty exact!
b. no movies can be played with the OEM NAV... no chances of doing it without replacing the unit with another model. Search the forum and you will find alternatives using Blaupunkt DVD palyer, XBOX and so on.
c. the start screen is part of the firmware... can't be changed.
Have fun!
PS.: Make sure you post in the right forum :-)

Since I got mine I have yet to clean the inside... reason? same as yours! The outside of the window? Use RainX that beads up the water... I LOVE IT - so much better after treatment!
