This is a huge jump from my 1994 auto Civic. The RX-8 is a blast to drive and it is also my first manual car. I learned to drive it pretty smoothly after about 2 hrs but I have also grinded the gears twice :(. I now have a huge grin on my face 24/7 and I am always looking forward to driving this car. The only downfall is the mpg but it is soooo worth it! Also, everyone stares at this car! haha, its like im a celebrity or something...well even tho they looking at car and not me, hehe. Anyway... Zoom Zoom Zoom!

Good choice my friend. So you learned driving manual in the 8? I hope not.

This is my first manual car too. I haven't grinded the gears yet. (I'm clutch happy.) But, I did curb the rim while trying to park, so don't feel too bad. A few buzzes won't kill you. ;)

nice car - love the color choice

i went from an '86 accord to my 8...figured it out and the 8 is worth about 80x more than my accord...ha!

glad to see you got the manual! :D

nice 8. My black rx8 is also my first car, and i learn manual on my 8 :( took me few day, i burn the clutch few times, but it's all good. I crash my 8 last week :( but i am getting a lot aftermarket stuff, it'll be a lot nicer and fast :)

Congrats. Must be weird jumping from 30 mpg to sub 18 mpg. My friend did something similar when he went from from Civic to 350z. He didn't know how fortunate he was before. It's only $ :)

Welcome to the family!
Take it easier on the clutch and gearbox, okay? :)

the 8's not a bad first MT. I didn't learn to drive on one, but I sure perfected my skills on it!
