I am new here and I am considering a leftover 04 RX8. I have made a few calls, and it seems the best deal I can get is dealer invoice (before $1,500 rebate). 128 Mazda has an advertised 6SP black with spoiler and appearance pkge for $23,999 ($1500 to dealer). If the MSRP is $28525, then this is approx $4500 under MSRP and about $2200 under dealer invoice. I have not asked if they would extend the pricing to their other cars.

I am pretty flexible across the board (color/options, etc), except for the tranny needs to be a 6 speed and I don't think I want NAV (seems expensive for something I don't think I will use that much).

Any recent experiences? I haven't done a complete search, but there has got to be at least 100 RX8s still avail within a 75 mile radius of Boston.

I leased my RX-8 in August at Champion Mazda in Brockton.At the time mazda was offering $4250 off of incentives for 2 year leases.The money factor is/was high but the incentives made up for it.I got it for invoice minus these incentives so the cap cost was $21xxx.The residual at the end of 2 years is $17680 with a limit of 24k miles.I was over there a few weekends ago and they still have 3 RX-8's.A base auto(blah!!),a GT in yellow,and a touring model in Ti grey.I bet they would make a sweet deal on any of them especially the auto and th eyellow one.They have been sitting a long while,and neither is really popular I wouldn't think.Give them a call and ask for Dennis.He was pretty straight forward with me.I have never done business with them before(I was a loyal Mazda Gallery guy),but they had the car I wanted (base 6 speed),and were willing to work without too much haggling.Good luck.Oh yeah by the way where in MA are you?
