Clear Corners is one of the cheapest and easiest mods you can do to improve the exterior look of your RX-8. Many many people have done it, including myself. I highly recommend it. They will cost you about $70 or less, depending on who you buy from. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

Clear corners are indeed nice - although velocity red is a color where the stock orange lenses actually look fine (IMO).
For my titanium grey, it was a no brainer - the pumpkin color HAD to go. In your case, it's a toss-up.

FYI all Australian delivered vehicles come with clear corners, and yes, it looks better than amber ones, especially on the red.

derwankel, this guy in Australia has outdid you with the strakes. :)

I have mine too! Just make sure you remove the inner reflector or your clear corner would look half-baked.

thanks. the top pic is my new rims, which are stock but powedercoated gunmetal w/a red pearl lip. i bought them this way and will be redoing them in just a straight gunmetal as the pearl makes them look pink sometimes. the bottom is the stock rims after a good cleaning. i use mcguiers nxt wax on them as i do the rest of the car, but nothing special.

I"ve been undecided myself on this issue, at first I wanted them, then I started looking at the amber ones and they didn't really bother me too much because they really blend in. It does look al ittle cleaner with the clear ones.
