Raffle will be held this week, I had to go out of town on business (It was not scheduled) and when I got back Friday the CEO was unceremoniously let go; so there was not much time to take care of such things...

Well he sent mine on May 26, so I have waited 8 days already. Since there is a change of hands, (from US Postal Service to Canada Post) Carlos could not provide a tracking number. I don't know what to make of it.

Most probably will do it tonight or tomorrow, then I will anounce the winner... Will ship it out within a week as I have to get some shots of it on the car...

There will be a few conditions for the winner such as you can't sell it you can only give it away to another forum member and such and you have to actually put it on your car and enjoy it...:)

Wow Cortc I really think you should back your words up as I was asking nicely and needed to know because your case with the police was never closed as we all know this. So until I have confirmation that everyone has received the pods and then send those confirmations to the detective Ronosso whom you are familiar with, then the case will be closed. Have you really been reading this thread? Are we reading the same thing? Never have I ever said anything that was "fabricated." Merely summarizing the detailed points that you've done. 1) You took a 2-3 month hiatus after you claimed that you were planning to ship out the pods.. (Date 3/31). Then later you posted some more pix of the supposed 12 pods that were going to be shipped out... then you disappeared. TRUE OR FALSE?

2) You return (Date 5/25) and say that you were waiting on the rest of the Pods to be ready to be shipped... uhmm what happened to the first 12 pods that were supposed to be shipped PRE 3/31? Why did people have to wait? Best of the batch right? Reference (POST #370)

3) POST #404. You said you didn't know of any deadlines? Was that your excuse for not shipping the items stated originally on 3/31? So this was your excuse here why they weren't shipped out?

(Note: There were no deadlines like you said. But the thing is... you said "Hey guys I'm shipping it out this friday, it will get to you next week friday." Ok Carlos, since you claim that you lost $450 on this project, (Even though you decided to raffle one of the supposed Silver PODs, makes no sense right?), The two deaths that happened, the 'CEO' that got fired, other random excuses for all the delays, etc etc... if you can provide some sort of paperwork to the rest of the members here about all these delays, I'll write you a check for $450 to cover that loss. How about that? I'm serious Carlos. To make it worth your time, I'll write a check for $1000 for your "time" since it seems your time is so valuable/limited, and when you are done getting all the paperwork ready. Scan those receipts, show us some paperwork.

Well, Cortc is no longer accepting private messages, so I am posting here. I have one of the last four Pods to be shipped. I have a tracking number from Carlos and the package was accepted at the Pompano Beach post office yesterday at 1:56 PM. To say I am relieved is an understatement.

I am grateful to those who helped push this forward (especially Devious12, and Detectiver Ronosso) - and honestly, to CortC for his work to create, test, and have the Pods manufactured.

What was not handled well was when Carlos literally dropped out of sight for 2 months after posting a pic of the 12 pods with the boxes they were to be shipped in, and sending all of us a request to confirm our shipping addresses. That sure made me think that shipment would be as he stated - within the next day or so. I for one had no idea that he still had (extensive?) finish work to do on them. I appreciate that he cared enough to give us all a truly quality product and followed through on the finish work and I am very anxious to finally receive my pod - I hope by the end of the week - in time for a local club meet.

I am truly sorry for the personal family losses (illness and deaths) that Carlos had to deal with during this time - and also apparently a big shake-up at work. But I think any reasonable person who had the faith and money of several people pending in a very public forum would have taken at least five or ten minutes once or twice a week to let us know what was going on.

So much (!!!) could have been avoided if he simply would have kept in contact.

Onward and upward - I hope all the Group Buy members enjoy their pods, and I wish Carlos a happier year for the rest of 2005, without the terrible family/work upheavals of the recent past.

A Trully honest and diligent man wouldn't have just left and run off. If I did nothing wrong, I would simply explain myself. I wouldn't just start attacking the people. If he felt some of the members of the board was saying negative untrue things about him, he could have simply made us look like fools. Instead he continued on making himself look like the victim, and tried to put the blame on the ones that helped push this POD Group buy forward. Makes no sense right?

Tracking #'s usually take 18-24 hours before it's registered. If it was shipped today, expect it to be in the computers tomorrow morning.

Oh, I'm fully aware of the time taken to get into the system. That's why I'm wondering, since it was shipped Monday morning. It will be annoying if they don't update until it has already been delivered.... at which point the tracking # is useless.

The tracking number is useless, not saying it isn't legit, but USPS doesn't update their site fast enough. Carlos sent my tracking to me and the pod arrive in two days, I have to say it was very quick shipping after it was finally sent.


And if everyone would like to just send me the confirmation who hasn't once they receive the pods I will forward the emails to the Dectective. I just wanted everyone to see that I wasn't just making this stuff up. Pretty good imagination if I did though, here's the detective's email below:

I've been on an ambulance for 48 hours and missed quite a bit. It seems everyone is getting/has gotten their pod covers and I'm very glad for this. I think we all need to accept the fact that Carlos isn't going to be rational about this whole situation, raffle or no raffle. Whatever... There are people like that in this world. Strange... considering we've shipped plenty of things at work to Canada and we've provided tracking #. The USPS is a bit slow on their system, but 15 days is silly.

I'm not defending him but I don't think after all of this he would have sent everyone elses and not yours. I just think that if he sent it the cheapest way it will take a while to Canada. I sent a playstation once to Canada and it took almost 3 weeks to get there using the cheapest rate possible. Maybe he'll respond to this thread but after everything who knows if we will see him again on this forum.

I'd say give it until Monday and if you don't receive it by then and there's no response from him then you can call the detective on it.

I am shipping out my Amber corners right now to another member... did the process over the internet at www.USPS.com... provided me with a tracking #. I asked my secretary whether they provide tracking # for out of the country and she said yes. Took me 3-5 minutes to finish packing, typing the address, and labeling. Makes you wonder why it would take Carlos so long even with 20 Pods, he can at least do about 5-10 a day without it taking too much of his time.

I know that FedEX provides a tracking # out of the country, and so does UPS.

I have sent you several e-mails and have copies of all of them where
I asked if you recieved your POD. It was shipped on the day I said,
if I said I actually shipped it then it is shipped... When I said I
was going to ship them a few months ago I hade every intension to do
so; things came up...

I do not have access to the forum anymore so cannot post there, when
I shipped it priority mail the postal worker said standard
confirmations do not work in Canada because they are not the ones
scanning the package when it is shipped...

You should get your POD soon...

Perhaps standard confirmations may not work... that's strange.. since Tracking # still work. We've shipped to Canada, Mexico, and even to Japan. All of which came with tracking #s and had verification of the person that signed for the package.

This was USPS.

Well, fellow forum members, I have finally received my CF dash POD! Talk about a sigh of relief. It is the most beautiful custom piece made for the RX-8 in my opinion. Even though it have taken 6+months and a lot of frustration, I think I'll call it even and forget all the bad feelings I've had towards Carlos. I still hope to hear everyone recieve their PODs as well if that has still yet to happen. Goodluck to everyone!

I have the RE Amemiya gauge pod and find it has a little glare - but there is a lot of bling in the pod so I don't care LOL :D

There is quite a bit of glare coming off of the pod during bright, sunny days. That is the only thing I don't like about the CF dash pod. But I'm a carbon fiber whore so I can live with it. :D
