View Full Version : Who ordered when, and at what price? eclps0 05-01-2003, 05:30 PM when did you guys and girls order your cars, and when u did was it sticker price or over sticker Hercules 05-01-2003, 05:34 PM January 8th, and I got it for MSRP. rotory_it_up 05-01-2003, 05:36 PM January 28th MSRP TreknMazda 05-01-2003, 05:36 PM January 20th for MSRP, no delaer fee. eclps0 05-01-2003, 05:39 PM is it to late to get sticker price i hope not. well thanks guys for answering Hercules 05-01-2003, 06:49 PM Originally posted by eclps0 is it to late to get sticker price i hope not. well thanks guys for answering No, you just have to do some homework about the dealers in your area. If all else fails, call/email Mazda of North America and complain about the dealers gouging. RX-Nut 05-01-2003, 08:05 PM Theoretically January 10. And dealer says they cant give me a price cuz dont know it.. go figure. BlueAdept 05-01-2003, 08:25 PM Some time in 2002, infact the dealer was pre-empting mazda somwhat, but they seem to have come through for me... As for the rest of it, well, at the time the dealer didn't know the prices, but the prices are controlled more strictly here... There was never any dealer allocation, all orders are being handled by mazda via the dealers, so there is no real risk of being charged more than the "Mazda approved" price... RotaryStalker 05-02-2003, 09:34 AM I was quoted sticker last night for first allocation (2 left). They want $500 refundable deposit. That part was easy... Trying to get the wife drunk enough to agree to getting one in June was the impossible task. :( Looks like I'm still looking at September.. Luckily it's my 40th birthday so that will provide some leverage. The dealer told me I was 7th of 7 in their first allotment, but I'm remaining slightly skeptical, just in case, so I won't be disappointed if something goes wrong. RX-8 Zoomster 05-02-2003, 02:28 PM Ordered: 20 Jan Price: $33100 (MSRP) Pam 05-02-2003, 05:04 PM I pre-ordered (offically got the confirmation today from MazdaUSA that I am in their data base) Jan.15. But I am concerned about the delivery date now because last week I asked if I could add options which were not available at that time and received a confirmation from the dealer earlier this week that they were able to add them. I added the spoiler, cargo net, spare tire kit, front/rear splash guards, moonroof wind deflector and cassette player. Has anyone else been able to do that with their pre-order? Yes, I added the splash gurards and rotary accent package a couple weeks ago. Those option codes now appear next to my car on the "cars on order" report the dealer gets. The addtional options/accessories released last month will be added at the port of entry (most likely) or the dealership (last resort), not in Japan. Elara 05-02-2003, 06:43 PM I added the rotary accents to my car last week, and they didn't seem to think there would be any problems'delays resulting from that. brothervoodoo 05-02-2003, 07:55 PM Hello All, I live in SF Bay Area with at least 12 dealers within a 45 mile radius. I was still able to get MSRP considering living in a more costly metropolitan area and will order mine this coming Tuesday. I was quoted from MSRP and up to 2K-7K more than was advertised per Mazda Website. I will let you know if the story changes. The total with all my extras came to $33,400 (per Mazda web). Questions: What exactly is the "spare tire kit". Does it come with the tools and an actual spare tire? Can someone show me a picture of what the front/rear splash guards look like? What does the moonroof deflector look like? Thanks! 91vert 05-02-2003, 09:41 PM Ordered on Jan 13th at MSRP. $500 non-refundable deposit, but shouldn't be an issue because there is no doubt in my mind that I will be taking delivery of the car. Adding the rotary accents and possibly a spoiler.
