Is it true that if you keep waxing your car,you can mess up your clear coat?Iv'e heard this from a few people, they say it eats away the clear coat or something. Is this why some waxes say "clear coat safe,or wont harm paint"?

No it's not true.
Wax is a coat applied on top of the clear coat and should help to protect your paintwork.
As long as what you use does not contain any cutting compounds you should be right.
Hell, I've had my 8 for about 9months and have applied somewhere in the vicinity of 20 coats of Meguiars Gold Class wax in this time .
My paintwork looks fantastic!

^ What he said.
"Clearcoat safe" means the wax/polish wont scratch the clearcoat, it has nothing to do with "eating away" the clearcoat.

The only other way it'll mess up your clear coat is if you don't use a clean applicator pad to put the wax on.
The same can also be said about clean polishing cloths to remove the wax, otherwise wax away!
