Hi, for the last 10,000km I've had to add water to fill up between min and full mark for my car about every 4000km. I've also noticed some flakes or some sort building up around the outside of the coolant reservoir next to the cap. Does this mean the cap is venting coolant prematurely or defective? The temp guage has never gone past the mid point in my car and I've added redline water wetter.
Any thoughts before I take it to my dealer next month?
oh and I've checked for leaks under my car whenever I park but I haven't noticed any either so

First, do not tell them you added water wetter. Second, sure it could be a defective cap as they are supposed to vent at a certain psi.

hey usoff, you could always take the bottle to your dealer and just tell 'em to throw it in when you get your next service... then they'll know it's in there and there'll be no problems (not that i imagine there would be...)

not to scare you but it could be a water seal,... most likly a loose hose though.
