In the photos i have seen that the sunroof only appears to open about only 1/2 way. Does anyone know if the sunroof opens all the way or is it limited by the RX's sloping roof-line?

It's limited due to it's decling roofline. rxeightr 04-17-2003, 08:19 AM I have not seen it in person, although some pics have suggested it slides up about 2/3 open. Smoker 04-17-2003, 11:14 AM Definitely NOT all the way like a moon roof on a sedan. There just isn't enough roof space for those moon roof to be retract into the roof. I guess, think Prelude's moon roof if you want an idea of what it might look. danielk015 04-17-2003, 11:17 AM As i Drove one yesterday and opened up the sunroof, it does not open all the way.. i would say around 60% of the way... but still good enough.. i liked it... ZoomZoom 04-17-2003, 11:42 AM If it's anything like the one on my Mazda MX-3 it will open about 75%, the car is about 10 years old now and I have not had a single problem with the roof. :) johnsocal 04-17-2003, 03:31 PM Im thinking about buying a base RX8 and have an aftermarket sunroof installed. I dont think I would have an power sunroof installed (like the OEM) but a manual flip-up one that can also be manual removed all-together when i want too. I had one of these basic type of sunroofs in my 1991 Eagle Talon and I really like it since it gave me a larger and more open sunroof then the expensive automatic ones.
