View Full Version : i can't believe my bad luck.....
playa78 09-01-2004, 09:08 PM omg.. I cannot believe number of bad lucks I am going through lately..
first the exhaust, now on the way to work, some old lady hits my car from the side, head on =( the whole, right side is damaged..... front, rear door, rear bumper, rear wheel etc....
this is turning out to be a really bad day.. =-(
Outlaws eXtreme 09-01-2004, 09:22 PM Ack! Sucky! What was wrong with the exhaust?
rx88er 09-01-2004, 09:25 PM That would be my worst nightmare. I know how you feel. I had a guy reverse into my car and nudge the black grill where the number plate goes. You would think he would have moved his car to avoid being blamed. Unfortunately I didn't notice the damage till after he'd left. I have since ordered a bottle of brake fluid for him so if I ever catch him his car will be wearing it.
Hope the repairs go well
Gibbo 09-01-2004, 09:50 PM That is terrible... there is nothing worse than that feeling after an accident.
On the other side....
....take some photos and post them.

8A8Y 8 09-01-2004, 11:30 PM ok hope it gets done properly
Choppy 09-02-2004, 01:12 AM BLoody VOLVO drivers :)
Lock & Load 09-02-2004, 01:20 AM Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck .
If you possibly can try and get the rear aluminium door repaired with the dent free removal method as aluminium is harder to panelbeat than steele .
cheers
michael
RobRX8 09-02-2004, 01:40 AM Your not alone mate, last night on the way home from work some day dreaming idiot who couldnt figure out what lane he was going to be in hit the back of my car.
His car has a nice large dent in the front gaurd and rubber on his wheels, my rx8 on the other hand doesnt look to bad at all, as a matter of fact there is no damage, just rubber on my paint and some skuff marks. A bit of a buff and you wont be able to notice anything had happened. I think im damn lucky.
The 8 seems to be stronger than a lancer.
Hope your repairs are good.
Gibbo 09-02-2004, 02:31 AM Good luck with the repairs, hope it all works out well.
RXE16T 09-02-2004, 03:00 AM playa78, sorry to hear that.
Something similar happened to me in my Type R just before I changed over to the 8, so I can relate to how you're feeling.
With work, I use a panel shop called Rigoli Smash Repairs over at Bexley which I highly recommend.
The owner, John, is a car enthusiast, so he puts plenty of love into the repairs.
Good luck with it.
Choppy 09-02-2004, 04:11 AM Go the Rigoli's..
That on Forest road ? Not to far from me at all.. :D:D
Regards
phillip
playa78 09-02-2004, 04:27 AM hmm, my girlfriend lives in Bexley :D
but I dunno if they are AAMI approved.. =(
darn AAMI, I have to bring my car to Bella Vista next Tueday morn'..
Bad luck mate, I feel for ya.
playa78 09-07-2004, 03:46 AM dropped my 8 this morning to AAMI..
the total cost of repair stand at $4600 omg..
they said it will take upto 3 week, most likely finished on 30th Sep.
I am due to go into surgery 29th, meaning I can't drive :( for 6week... T_T
I better get them to hurry up with repair I guess.
keep things posted if any interesting thing comes up.
RXE16T 09-07-2004, 04:04 AM I saw your damage last night and I don't think its all that bad.
3 weeks for repairing it seems like a joke.
A good panel shop should be able to repair the damage in a week max.
Can you get a second opinion?
Choppy 09-07-2004, 07:28 AM Man 3 weeks???? You gotta be kidding 2 weeks and thats pushing it.. Of course you have to get the best job done and it takes time but 3 weeks??
Regards
Phillip
takahashi 09-07-2004, 07:34 AM what surgery playa?
playa78 09-07-2004, 09:53 PM left s/c interposition arthroplasty + arthrodesis since you asked..
but I would rather not say too much about it..
rather unrelated to cars.
