View Full Version : Repair for Clear Bra Dings?

I've had a clear bra on my 8 for over 8,000 miles now and it's done a super job of protecting the paint.

Recently took a hit from something that actually left a small maybe 1/8" tear in the material on the front bumper (again no paint damage), and another that gouged the plastic bra material just a little.

My 8 is black so I know I can hide the marks effectively with some black touchup paint, but is there any other way to repair the little tears or gouges with clear material?

TIA

The installer can get the rep to come by the shop with this COOL little knife, and just replace a section if you need.

I've been looking into this as well.

Hmmm, seems like the cures are worse than the disease, doctors.

I'm talking only a very small blemish so will try hiding with some touchup paint, I guess. Cutting it out and patching would be more unsightly, and total replacement expense is out of the question.

Thanks anyway,

Ahh i see.. well I know that you can heat it up and move it around a bit. you might be able to warm it up enough just to cover the spot by streatching it ..

Have you asked your installer about fixiing it ?
