have any of you guys modified the existing stock sound systems?? was wondering ifits easy to add on better speakers, woofers.... better yet has anyone tried chaning the whole front display and CD player??

Anyways, i felt dat the existing Bose 9 speaker system was crap. Dunno if MM's have dat. When i changed them, saw 'MADE IN INDONESIA' with authentic BOSE logo of course. Paper speaker - Bad JuJu...

Many of us have changed our speakers and installed extra punch with subs. Come to next meet and u wil see some very interesting gadgets. Including a whopping >$10+K Sony XES sound system.

As for ur question, external head units are definitely 'moddable'. Jap mags have pics of those. If u wanna retain ur original unit cuz of all the other controls like A/C etc etc that u may have to meddle with by uninstalling it, my solution's simply finding another space for an additional head unit. :D Again, Renesis8 wil definitely give u a better insight than me.
