Tony Orlando 07-08-2004, 07:31 PM There are no known aftermarket plugs. Use the Mazda OEM. 86rx7 07-08-2004, 11:08 PM The stock plugs are pretty damn nice, they physically look EXACTLY like the 11.5 heat range ngk race plugs alot of high hp/ race rx7's use just a lower heat range. Nice plugs. wakeech 07-09-2004, 01:32 PM NGK is the only company that manufactures plugs for the Mazda wankel rotary. the OE plugs are already iridium, so what do you think you're gonna gain by going to a different material?? man, every day at work, i have to teach someone else about spark plugs, the benefits of different designs and materials, and whatever... it never ends. quit believing the advertising, seriously. StealthTL 07-10-2004, 12:39 PM My old RX-3 had an appetite for plugs, and I went thru quite a few sets, Champions, NGK, Denso, etc. A plug seized in the housing, then broke off at the gasket, leaving the threads to be drilled out...... My old rotary mechanic knew his Mazdas, and he knew his plugs too - I will never forget the chuckle when I explained what had happened (in finest Bavarian accent) "It vas a Champion - ja?" "How did you know that?" "Ze Japanese vons, zey are very strong, zey don't break!" NGK for me, from then on.... S |
