Last night I installed the rotary extreme air intake. I followed the instructions exactly. I drove it for about a half a mile last night after I got done and everything seemed fine. This morning though on the way to work the check engine light flashed on for about 10 seconds then went off. Now the idle seems different almost like it wants to stall. Is this just the ECU adapting to the new air mixture and intake or is something wrong? Thanks for any help.

It sounds to me like you have a leak. The MAF sensor in the '8 is very particular. Inspect for any leaks and for the placement of the MAF.

Well I fixed the SS minnow with the help of the professor so the 3 hour tour is going smooth :) Plus I have Ginger in the passenger seat, Mary Anne in the back and I stuffed the skipper in the trunk. Left the Howells on the Island because I took their money to pay for my mods and the car!

If there was a leak, would it also effect mileage or power?

After I made the professor reset my ECU I dumped him overboard because he was ruining the girl to guy ratio! And as far as losing HP or gas milage I don't know, it will just make your car errr 30ft Lund run like crap and end up deserting you on an island in the middle of nowhere:) You crack me up Purple Helmut although I like your cousin Dark Helmut better.

Ok, on more of a serious note... Yes, you would lose power. If your computer is not reading the correct amount of intake air you are constantly running rich or lean (depending on the reading). This would cause poor mileage and running conditions. You should notice a rough idle too. Check for a leak and let me know what you find.
