yeah, yeah, yeah, but what about the ride?

Great car. Great balance and style. Mazda is a carmaker with soul. I read somewhere that Mazda managed to retain some good ride qualities despite the sport suspension set-up. My '97 Miata handles with aplomb, but wiggles and jiggles over even the smallest potholes or road irregularities when cornering. Not horrible, but a problem in the snowy, frost-heave streets of Massachusetts. Has anyone else seen any subjective reports about the RX-8's ability to absorb bumps and irregularities? Does it lose its composure when cornering over imperfect road surfaces? Also, anyone ordered the Winning Blue version? It's my first choice, I think.

Make sure to check out all the articles posted here on the RX-8. You will find they mention the ride as 'sporty', but not punishing.
With the longer wheelbase than the MX-5, ride quality should be better.
BTW -- good color choice..... 'cause that's what I'm getting !

Its a cross between the R2 (Softer suspension) FD RX-7 and the mazda6.
It does handle like a sports car bt does not have the kidney punching brutality of the stiffness of the Sport cars eg. FD RX-7.
