View Full Version : Tein RX-8 in Sport Compact Car mdawgx24 06-23-2004, 10:19 AM A few pages on Tein's car, with the coilovers and EDFC, performance brake pads, Fujitsobo exhaust, and 18x8.5 Enkei wheels. PA BATMOBILE 06-23-2004, 10:33 AM I was kinda disappointed with the article because they didn't talk much about the RX-8, they kinda just went on and on about the Tein parts and Tein without saying much about the other parts on the car (although it's a given to talk about what modifications have been done) or even the car itself. Hopefully they'll do another article on a tuned RX-8 again and do a much better job talkin about the car, how it drives, etc. mdawgx24 06-23-2004, 11:47 AM Yeah. The article was mostly a showcase for Tein's suspension parts. Makes sense, though you kind of want more. ASAEED18 06-24-2004, 06:59 AM let's all petition mazda to bring back the 7!!! i always wish my 8 was lower, meaner, faster, and PURE. seriously, who bought this car for practicality?? everyone wanted the word pure before 'sports car'. too bad real sports cars are thriving now.. lets hope mazda catches up Kain 06-24-2004, 08:07 AM Originally posted by ASAEED18 let's all petition mazda to bring back the 7!!! i always wish my 8 was lower, meaner, faster, and PURE. seriously, who bought this car for practicality?? everyone wanted the word pure before 'sports car'. too bad real sports cars are thriving now.. lets hope mazda catches up MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET A Z UNTIL OR WHEN THE SEVEN COMES BACK>? HiTMaNN 06-25-2004, 04:57 AM all i looked at was speed + 4 seats = STI umm wait its nasty looking o yah the 8 i love it!@ takahashi 06-25-2004, 06:13 AM Which model of Tein do they advertise on? Super Street? Type CX or Type Flex? bassik277 06-26-2004, 01:12 PM Originally posted by takahashi Which model of Tein do they advertise on? Super Street? Type CX or Type Flex? Don't people research stuff before they buy? I spent weeks on this forum (and elsewhere) reading everything I could find on this car. I knew every thing, both good and bad about this vehicle prior to purchasing it, and as a result, I am highly satisfied with my purchase. Nissan says they have the 4 door sports car. The 8 is the real 4 door sports car. I bought the 8 for it's looks, performance, and yes, practicality. Mazda does not need to "catch up". They are way ahead of the curve !!! Because I did my homework, I got exactly what I wanted. I hope you find yours. AeroWerksOnline 06-29-2004, 04:17 AM anyone interested in Tein suspension parts for the 8? shelleys_man_06 07-04-2004, 07:17 PM I've read that article twice. I am impressed by Tein's approach to the RX-8. I love suspension tweaking, and it's refreshing to see SCC put something out besides JDM Skyline this and high-power that (I think they're following Super Street too closely). I would love to sample Tein's parts on my 8 :). boothguy 07-07-2004, 03:23 PM Not to hijack the thread, but Mazda learned its lesson on the RX7. It was the "pure" sports car the public claimed they wanted Mazda to build. And it turned out to be literally too high-performance for its own good. I've got one and it's fun. But my wife refuses to ride in it. Practicality isn't the reason I bought my 8. But it was sure part of the equation. shelleys_man_06 07-10-2004, 04:14 PM let's all petition mazda to bring back the 7!!! i always wish my 8 was lower, meaner, faster, and PURE. seriously, who bought this car for practicality?? everyone wanted the word pure before 'sports car'. too bad real sports cars are thriving now.. lets hope mazda catches up Mazda is playing catch up?! That's laughable. You want a pure sports car, the Ferrari dealership in Houston is selling some of their product, for about $170,000. troycee 07-10-2004, 06:00 PM Originally Posted by ASAEED18 let's all petition mazda to bring back the 7!!! i always wish my 8 was lower, meaner, faster, and PURE Want lower, meaner, faster? The answer is in my sig. PS > I bought the RX-8 for practicality. It replaced a 4-door, 5-seat car that was my daily driver. |
