Sup everyone, new to the boards. Don't have an 8 nor am I planning on getting one. No bad reasons, but I got the WRX almost two years ago and I am not planning on ditching her :) Came to the boards because my buddy Adamrotor owns a RX 8. I am however a fan of the 8.

Nice WRX. What are the emissions laws like in Chicago? Does the standard smog check include rolling the car in 2nd or 3rd gear on a chassis dyno? I was just curious, as a WRX owner told me four wheel dynos are hard to come by and thus the law does not require AWD vehicles like the WRX to be dyno-smogged...

Correct, in Illinois they only have the standard two wheel drive dynos and can not test all wheel drive vehicles. All wheel drive cars are exempt from testing, but I read somewhere they are planning on reading the ecu to get emessions levels some how.

Nice Rex. I have a blue wagon out in Naperthrill. Hopefully she'll be going back to Subaru on 7/7 since she has been nothing but repeat problems that Subaru won't/can't take care of or the blame for. They blame all of my engine problems (totally stock BTW) on bad Amoco PREMIUM gas. Yeah right. I'd buy another but not after Subaru's BS.

I really wanted silver but the wife won out. Definitely love the STi grill, it really brings the front end together.

Haha, Im stock and hes not I know hes faster but onvce I breakin, maybe will make a video of it and then I'll tell you how fast I am lol.
