I am really considering the purchase of a new rx8 and wondering if anyone knew the official release date. Thinking about getting a white one. Any news on mazda speed version coming to Canada?

From what I've read, it's unlikely that you will see the MS version released outside of Japan.

I think you'll see the 05's around Aug.

I believe that 2005 is the scheduled Mazda Speed Mazda6 (that's a lot of Mazdas!):D Call Mazda Canada and ask for the director of product planning!:)

I'd say that the 2005 RX-8s will show up on the lots with the rest of the 2005 Mazda models, in late September.

A North American spec 2005 MazdaSpeed RX-8 might get announced at the LA or Detroit Auto Shows in early January, or at the Chicago show in February. That's a complete guess on my part, no inside information on that one. If it's not announced at one of those shows, then it might not show up until the 2006 model year.
