How difficult would it be for someone without a lift to install the B&B exhaust? How much room would I need under the car to work? Would just a set of ramps work?

SilverTrigger 06-04-2004, 01:42 AM Was it fairly easy? I may get my brother in law to help. He has all the mechanical know-how, not me. JeupRX-8 06-04-2004, 02:41 PM All I did was jack it up on all 4 corners, and it took roughly 20-30 minutes. The only hard part is getting the exhaust off the rubber hangers. Do you have to worry about emissions where you are at? SilverTrigger 06-04-2004, 07:18 PM I said screw it and had it done by professionals. They had a hard time with the rubber hangers also. Emissions is no problem in Arkansas. spddmn01 06-04-2004, 09:57 PM hey if you have lyk pb blaster or some wd 40, spray it on the hangers and just use a long flat head screwdriver to pry it off..it should come off easy..thaz what i did with my borla too.. God of Thunder 06-07-2004, 10:05 AM Easiest way to get one off the hangers is to lube them (WD40, cooking oil, whatever) and use a pair of channel locks. Just put one end on the end of the metal rod attached to the exhaust, the other on the opposite end of the rubber hanger and squeeze. |
