My biggest gripe with the RX-8 is that it has a digital speedo; they are too slow to respond the whole idea of a digital speedo turns me off. I have seen plenty of aftermarket tachs but I am not aware of a decent aftermarket analogue speedo that would look good in the RX-8.

Anyone know where one can get a good analogue speedo in the GTA?

Just wait a year or two before buying an RX-8...I remember reading an article awhile back that mentioned this as being one of the first things Mazda will change. THe article was about an interview with a Mazda engineer, so I believe it may very well be true.

As far as digital speedos not being fast enough to respond, I am hoping that this will not be the case on the RX8.

I have yet to see a nice quick digital speedo in a car, but the truth is, I have only seen them in the Lincolns and Caddys, and I am not sure that speedo performance in those cars is indicative of what it could be. I think that all of the new sportbikes which have gone to digital speedos have much better response than that which I have seen in the big American land yachts, and therefore would hope the same would be true of the RX8's speedo.

Having yapped about all of this, of course, I have to add that I also much prefer an analogue display...

i think the idea of digital speedo is pretty cool, but from the Jap video someone posted w/ that speedo in action im also disappointed at how slow the respone time is
