I looked around here for awhile and can't find any documented changes which will be implemented in the 2005 Rx-8s...are there any?

They should be producing them now, or very soon, to be imported as 2005 models at the end of the summer correct?

I saw a petition thread where people were dreaming of changes like 350hp, etc.

Any REAL changes happening for sure?

Long story short: No one can be sure yet.

Some are saying a color change, most are saying no major mechanical modifications.

i read somewhere on this forum that they are getting rid of yellow and adding white

New model won't be out until the fall...September/October-ish. Mazda will probably release details on model changes over the summer.

As Jason said...no one really knows yet...just a lot of conjecture.

Oh man! A white RX-8 would be sexy!

I don't antipate much news will be available until very late (close to the launch dates).

They're still trying to clear out alot of 2004 (at least that's the case in Canada).

Talked to a dealer today (after I got another test drive).

According to this guy, last week ended the ability to order any 2004 RX8 from the factory and orders will be accepted for 2005 RX8's that will be produced in August and arrive around Sep-Oct. He is anticipating the spec sheets just prior to initial ordering.

Hopefully we will hear soon. Keep asking the dealers!

all rumors right now. i dont think mazda has released any official statements to my knowledge. but ey my knowledge doesnt tread that far

i think the 05 models will be almost the same except changes in the material used

and the white color added with yellow removed

I have confirmation of Pearl White.

I have talked to a second seperate dealer in the Minneapolis area and their first ordered 2005 8 is of the pearl white color. The person I talked to also confirmed that new orders for the 2004 are no longer available.

They were unsure about other changes/options but they should be hearing soon.

Confirmed changes are vivid yellow being dropped and snowflake white pearl being added. Also, the key is being changed to include the buttons for the alarm to be embedded.

They are dropping YELLOW forwhite instead of dropping GREEN??? Wow guysI thought green was the worst sellingcolor not yellow. Looks like Iwas wrong. I thoughtthey produced less green Rx8s than yellow. So I guess the yellow Rx8s aregoing to end up being rare similar tothe case w/yellow Rx7s. I have a feelingwhite isdefinitely going to endup becoming the dominant color choice b/c I think itreally does show offthe curves andlines of the car rather efficiently.

I alsowanted to add that yesterdaywhen I went to dealershipto get my car checked upI was looking throughsome of the Rx8s there and they nowseem to have the NAV available inthe lowerpackage models. Lasttime I checked I onlysaw them apart of Rx8s w/theGrand Touring package.

I'm assuming existing RX-8 owners can buy new keys.. I'd like to get rid of the alarm, takes up a lot of space in my keychain.

I to talked to my delaer to he said the same thing.. I can order a 05 now and it will be here in Oct..
