My vehicle request printout from the dealer lists an estimated
production date of 1st week of May. I ordered on 1/19.
Anyone else have similar info?

Wow so soon!?! You sure about that? Since I'm getting the same model as you (except i opted for the nav. I'm a gadget freak :D) let me know how you like it. I'd like to know how the stock stereo system sounds. I plan on upgrading it sometime in the future. By the way I'm in the 3rd batch. Not expecting it until July/Aug.

If you ordered in January, I thought that they were ALL to be included in the first run (April). I would check with your dealer and see if THEY actually ordered it right away.......

My 6sp red touring says April/Wk 1. First pre-order of first allocation (1/13th) - says orde date is 1/16. If you didn't preorder until 1/19 you may not be in the first pre-order batch - I thought 1/13 was the cutoff for the first batch. However, as many have pointed out, not all dealers had their first preorders sold as of 1/13 - I think that may be the deciding factor - if your dealer on 1/19 changed one of the units they'd already ordered to your choices - or not. Oh, and remember, build date is the beginning of production. Add two weeks +/- for build completion, and 2 - 5 weeks for shipping / transport.

Mine must be a typo. It has MAR/Wk 1 as the "Estimated/Actual Production Date". I didn't think production was planned to begin for US models until April.

My dealer shows the same info for my car. He also has an allocation sheet that shows his expected delivery date of 9 cars... April 25... I don't really beleive it either, but he says he knows for a fact that they are getting them in April. The sheet said 9 cars in April, 12 cars in June, and 15 in July... here's hoping. :)

the press release that came out with job1 for the japanese market said job1 for the u.s.a. was march 17th

I missed March 17th in the startup article. I thought it just said "mid-March" for the start of production for N.America.

I guess my order was kind of generic in a sense that they already ordered one that fits my order. Ahh, oh well. Mine will be here 1st week in June (supposedly).
