Dropped off my 8 this morning for the recall work and an oil change. Mentioned that my mpg sucked (about 14) and that I've had some moments of rough idle.

Just got the call that its ready and they reflashed my pcm with the last update....can't wait to take it for a spin and see if there's a difference....:D

when i got the m flash my mpg went from 16to 19 on first tank of gas91oct the 2nd tank i put 89 in and it went back down to 16 .so with the m flash you need to run atleast mid grade to get the mpg's you want.

i run 91 minimum, usually 93 so I hope I see a good increase with the new flash.

hmm, hope the person who "flashed" you was attractive! heh

Hmmm, that's not exactly scientific, though I'd be curious if anyone else has a similar anecdote.

What is Flash? and What is PCM?
I too have had recall work done and now have rough idle.

PCM= Powertrain Control Module
