BoxerGT2.5 03-31-2004, 12:49 PM Do a search...it's out there. Speed Racer 03-31-2004, 01:50 PM You can download a PDF of the instructions from K&N's website (http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-6030TR). BoxerGT2.5 03-31-2004, 02:24 PM The intake also comes with the same instructions as the PDF on the website. Pretty easy to follow. RX8FanMan 03-31-2004, 03:55 PM alright thats good, i really dont want to pay someone when i could save money for more stuff for my 8 RX8FanMan 03-31-2004, 04:00 PM there are different types? whoa which one should i get BoxerGT2.5 03-31-2004, 10:15 PM Those different types you looking at are the various colors and finishes. Just make sure you get one with a heat sheild. rotarygod 04-01-2004, 01:52 AM Originally posted by RX8FanMan there are different types? whoa which one should i get If every different system is essentially the same design, it stands to reason that no on eintake system will be very different from another. K&N and Rotary Extreme both offer heat shields for their systems. They are both about the same length. they both use cone filters but the K&N filter is larger. You can not get too big of a filter from a flow standpoint but the size of the K&N may affect airflow through the original airflow location from the front of the car. AEM is also about to releas an intake and theirs will be basically the same type of setup. They are all going to be fairly loud. There are ways to help quiet them down a little bit posted here on the forum somewhere. The whole point is to go with your gut instinct. You aren't going to get a noticable improvement using one system over the other. If this is your only mod, you aren't even going to feel a difference in power although the added sound will make you think you do. This doesn't mean that you won't get a power gain though because you will. If just isn't impressive. Pick the one you think best suits your taste. The owner of the test car hasn't even seen the intake yet and I doubt you have seen it. XDEEDUBBX 04-01-2004, 05:54 PM haha false info...its all over this forum.. |
