View Full Version : Shift Knob & Thread Sizes

I think the design of the stock 6m shift knob is great, but it's too small for my hand. I've been researching shift knobs, and would very much prefer to stay away from the screw in type - seeing as how they tend to come loose. I was just doing a random search on ebay, and I came across a great looking/ sized shift knob...unforunately, it's a stock Toyota Solara Shift knob. I was wondering if anyone knew the thread size on the Rx-8 Shift knob, as well as the thread sizes for other cars/companys. Mainly Toyota, acura, and honda. This might be useful for other members as well.

However - to cut to the chase - it is a metric 10mm x 1.25 thread... which is the same as the Miata.
