Thumbs up Aftermarket Engine Mounts

Hey all,
For anyone interested, there is a guy in my area who's actually manufacturing aftermarket engine mounts.

What sets these apart is they aren't filled with oil and the entire mount doesn't need to be changed once you have them installed (unlike the factory one's), only the top bushings.

They aren't listed on his website but I've seen them in person so they exist so if interested contact them.

Here is their website:

http://www.rx8performance.com/

Hope this helps, I'll be having mine installed in about a month or so....

Hehe, not me. The owner has been working with rotaries at his shop for over 25 years.

I'm a computer geek so my automotive skills are limited to theory alone

He's very knowledgeable, fair and has worked on my RX and I've not been unhappy

I do more reading on these forums than posting so it's something that I'd take the time to endorse this guy on here and his business

Hey RWD+LSD=Zoom Notice you're from my area. His first name is Scott, his other website is:
http://www.mindseyeengineering.com/

I don't know his last name, only that I'd recommend him if you're looking for someone in our area other than a Mazda dealership.

Steven Scott Glassburn.
Mazsport owner etc etc.
He used another nickname to justify himself and disappeared again, it was Innova8.

His bad reputation here is probably not known by the new members but he scammed a lot of people, filed bankruptcy and left with the money.

WOW!!!! Had NO idea! He just got done working on my car and seemed fair in pricing and any and everything he told me I double checked here on the forums from the DIY's to searches for related issues and diagnosis.

(I can't work on a car but I have mad search, reading and comprehension skills )

I thought it may have been scott. Be very cautious of him. check all rotary boards, they will tell you the same thing.

Google "site:rx8club.com mazsport scott", grab a beer and start reading.

Avoid that tool at all costs, you'll probably end up getting burned.

He's stolen tens of thousands of dollars from members of multiple rotary communities and can't be trusted.

He sure is a calculating criminal. Constantly coming up with new names for his companies to try and market to the same crowd he has been manipulating for the past "25 years"

Not much more needs to be said on this topic.

This thread can be locked up.

Internet brands should be less greedy and remove his advertising here as well.
Who's adding this name to his mazsport\mindsass bad guy thread?

As soon as I heard aftermarket engine mounts I though of Scott, then I went to website and saw the rest of his same products listed there, cooling fan kit, oil pan, etc. Then checked out the contact us page and there was his Largo, FL address, definitely Scott.

I will give him this though, he knows his stuff and at one point was really contributing to innovative products for the 8. His business skills and moral values is where he falls flat, he screwed over a lot of people and just walked away and did nothing to make it right. Just be cautious of any dealings you have with him.

Well, if I'm flamed for not knowing something and trying to be a good person based on the limited knowledge I had of a situation then "FLAME ON".

Scott serviced my car just yesterday, I found him fair and honest and he did a great job. My car runs great. There are always two sides to every story. I've done the searches and read all the posts now.

Life happens.

Sorry for bringing up a sore subject for any and everyone.

This is all i was saying. Simply that you arent going to get a friendly reaction from discussing him.

If your experience is fantastic, go ahead and continue. No one argues that he doesnt know his stuff. But if he scams you, you have been warned in advance. And plenty of people here are going to morally object to you sending him money that they feel he still owes them.

I'm just advocation caution.

Whatever man. You must lead a small life to even say that. I've seen enough of your posts to know what an elitist sh*t you are.

I usually just ignore your paper bag, BTW thanks for wearing it, I'm sure I wouldn't want too see your ugly mug.

Flame on.

i didn't come here for a fight but ignorant assh*le statements like yours (many of them) just prove what an *** you are. You probably need a hug, sorry it didn't happen enough from your childhood that's what must have turned you into such a *****.

You fail to grasp how bankruptcy laws here work

"Left with a few personal belongings and the clothes on his back" is much more likely..........

Lol, I'd like to think so but his ebay shop is still selling used rx8 parts and his activities were all registered under a dummy name\person or "testa di legno" as you would call it here.

Never fear, all the new and upcoming owners out there are intelligent, mature, and are dedicated to research-before-action.

, I'll stay tuned for the epic www.rx8performance.com bad guy thread. If he wants to try and make a living that is fine with me but he has to realize he rep is his rep, it will go where he goes and affect the people he associates with to some degree.

I hope that he learned a bunch from the implosion of Mazsport....

And that he will come up with some great products, and have none of the problems that plagued Mazsport
