This may be a repost but I cant seem to find a thread on it (atleast I tried).

Anyway in the new issue of Road and track they said that sources close to mazda confirm that they are experimenting with a hydrolic turbocharger that uses hydrolics to spin the turbine rather than exhaust. They are also testing a SC. Mazda themselves did not confirm that statement but they said they are in the experimental stages with the rx-8 and testing many different things right now.

They said by 2007 mazda will have a hydrogen rx-8 available. Turn the switch to 1 position the car will run on hydrogen and have zero emissions the other position would be the normal gas powered rotary. the hydrogen engine will only produce 110 HP and is designed just for the city. According to Mazda the rotary has a bright future for hydrogen as its really easy to adapt the rotary engine to hydrogen. A piston engine is much more complex and difficult to do.

the only real problem Mazda has is the hydrogen tank, as it requires more room than the gas tank does.

tAke it for what its worth.

I mentioned it in the mazdaspeed forum, but still, always good to inform those who missed it.

pimp you should crop it to just the one you are pointing out. It makes a more forceful statement.
