The SoCalRX Club will again host the BIGGEST ROTARY SHOW in the World! The event will be at The Pomona Fairplex this year and will be organized by The SoCalRX Club.

We want to thank all of you who supported the effort. If it wasn't for each and everyone here who helped us out, an SS event would not have been possible this year! :worship: :grouphug: THANK YOU ALL!!

Won't be driving out the whole way, but it looks like I will be able to be there. Putting this out there up top that if anyone has a 2nd rotary they would like brought to the show, and are within ~12 hours of driving of LA, I'd love to chat to determine if it is possible for me to fly to you and drive your other rotary in and back.

My first Sevenstock experience was Sevenstock X. Since then I have attended every year which makes 4 events total. I'm looking forward to a different experience and a different venue.

I don't think the caravan passes though phoenix. We start the caravan, typically, at 6am the Friday before sevenstock.

13x: ok so for shits n' giggles i typed it up...the original meet point from last year is approximately 40 miles away from 7stock this year...

from there it's about another 20+ miles to the final destination (claim jumpers).

It'd be quite a caravan for the rotorheads - for those who are getting hotels near the fairplex it'd be a journey to even get to the meet point.

...don't get me wrong though...i'm all for it :bigok:



On another note...if people would like to head out to k1 indoor go karting - there's one approximately 14 miles east on the 10 fwy :bigok:

There will be an entry fee, but we are trying to keep it reasonable and to a minimum. SevenStock is NOT a for-profit event, but this is the first year that we've had to pay for a venue, and we need to charge something to try and at least break even. Remember SS has been FREE for 13 years.

I have been to SS since SS8 at the R&D facility so this will be the third locaiton for me which I think is great (and it is local)!

I heard the facilty providse food vendors but can we also BBQ ourselves?

Uh, knowing now might make the difference for some (or me, at least) in whether or not to spend money on airfare just to be there.

One of the cool things about this year's location is there'll be more stuff to do this year before / after the event.

I don't see many Phantom Blues (actually I spotted 1 a few months back with a MazdaSpeed body kit and I must say it looked amazing) it makes feel a bit unique :D:

I do not see any hours posted for Sevenstock. Do you have hours for the show?

The show will kick off at 9 and will conclude once the raffle is done which should be around 3 o'clock

So now that we have to pay (and I am not apposed to it) can you tell us if there are going to be any show (race) cars there?

If we bring in our own food vendors, we have to pay them AND pay the Fairplex a few hundred dollars.

There are no costumes permitted throughout our campus during this Halloween season at any event.

just a little over 2 weeks to go!

Man I feel like a 5yr the night before Xmas.

^ I didnt get any sleep the night before my first SevenStock. I just laid in my bed with my eyes open until like 3 a.m., woke up, drove over and picked up Izzy, and then headed to the caravan. Lol, I remember I was the first one there, so we left and got some CJ's and came back. Then Jedi, Newcastle and i think NGO were there.

I didn't get any sleep the night before my first SS as well. The previous sleep was at CRH's house in Phoenix. Did the drive over, lots of talking, headed to the pre-party, left there in time to get back to the hotel and shower/change to leave for the Socal caravan. Finally headed to bed around 11pm the night after SS (and woke up at 5am for a 16hr drive north up PCH before stopping east of Sacremento, and then repeating another 16hr day up PCH to OR that Monday :D:)






It was WAY too aggressive on the sleep/energy budget.

I'll be lucky if I get 3 hours of sleep this year before SS, especially since I'm hosting the K1 Pre-Party and then have an hour drive home, and then leaving there at 4am to head to the caravan meet up. (picking up donuts on the way as well)

at the end of the day, it's ABSOLUTELY worth it. :)

Halloween Costume Update:

I met with management to the Fairplex on Friday and Halloween Costumes WILL BE ALLOWED at SevenStock!!

Rules:

No Masks
Costume must be 'tasteful' - Remember, this is a family ortiented event



I would suggest anyone bringing a costume have a change of clothes handy in case it gets hot that day.
Besides, that's going to be a LONG DAY wearing a costume. (no cars will leave before 3:00)



We will be posting an FAQ in the next day or two with further details but figured some would be excited to hear the costume news.

A few more spots are STILL available for staging your car INDOORS at SS14, if you're interested please see this thread and PM me asap.

Dut to an OVERWHELMING demand this past weekend with cars wanting to sign up, we have some good news!

We've re-arranged the layout of the Hall to make room for MORE ROTARY goodness!!!
If you were sitting on the fence about whether to display your car or you felt it maybe wasn't "quite good enough", I say to you, GO FOR IT and sign up!
This is the first time in SevenStock history that we've had an indoor display area and there's no guarantee that we'll be able to offer this again next year so sign up while there's still time!

If you're interested in having your car displayed indoors, send me a PM asap with your full name, email address, and details on your car (year, color, mods, and pics if you've got them)

In order to expedite the morning. I am going to give out some instructions, because I will be the 2nd person you will meet Saturday Morning. 1st Person will direct you to the payment lines, where our Payment Collection Crew will be.


RX display vehicle (outdoor): $20 (car & driver) - additional passengers: $5/ per person *PAID @ STAGING AREA*
RX display vehicle (*indoor): $30 (car & driver) – additional passengers: $5/ per person *PAID @ STAGING AREA*
General Admission Teens/ Adults/ Seniors: $5/ per person



You will tell me INSIDE or OUTSIDE, pay ( CASH ONLY!) and I will hand you an ENTRY CARD and WRISTBANDS to get into the Venue.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF OUR PARKING STAFF AT THE STAGING LOT.

One more note: Folks, please practice backing up your Rotary!!! Backing up at an angle, or backing up perpendicular. Find an empty parking lot and practice, you don't want to be THAT guy/girl holding up the line when we are rolling to the show area.
