is there any chance at all that mazda well delivry this call earlier then the planned june? it would be very smart for mazda to do this.

1. the sti comes out in june and if the rx8 comes out at the same time then the sti might take alot of sales away from potential buyers, i for one was considering both cars before i ordered the rx8. but alot of plp will see the 300hp/300ft and will automatically choose the sti, so it would be a good idea to release the rx8 earlier then the sti.

2. the x men 2 movie comes out may 2nd. mazda should release the car when the movie comes out. x men 2 will do what the fast and furios did to the supra. after the fast and the furios, supra prices fuken skyrocketed like crazy.

just my 3 cents

He was talking about used car prices. I am pretty sure the price will not be affected by the movie as mazda already planned for it and knew about it. Hopefully the demand will increase though.

I saw the RX8 X-Men car at the LA Auto Show and thought the 'X' treatment made the car look really ugly - x-shaped inserts in the snout and the winged spoiler totally messed up the lines and look.
Good thing I saw the RX8 before the movie came out!

Yes the sti comes out in june but in VERY LIMITED numbers (something like 1700?). I wouldn't envision seeing an sti on a lot for a good 2 years at least. They are all pre-sale

yeah, also it is similar for the 8 to an extent. In a perfect world (maybe) RX-8s would not even be on any lots until the fall when they go on sale "for real". Only pre-ordereds would be driving around town.

However, some of the dealers in larger areas who got more allocations are keeping some of the pre-orders for themselves for either the showroom, or to sell on the lot (for a premium, I'm sure). So, you may see some on the lots this spring/summer, but once they are gone, that is it until the fall.

yes it is (a fully functional wing), and azn, I checked it out, autoweek and the subaru site claim 4000 units will enter the US 'in a good year'. Thats a far cry from rx8 production numbers.

please read those links i provided, they contain good info

"There was an enormous amount of hype surrounding the WRX just prior to its debut. Claims were made about its certain, lack of availability. Subaru produced and sold between 4 and 5 times more WRX's the first year than was initially touted."
