As many of us have seen, a lot of dealers are going to charge quite a bit over MSRP (at least initially when they can). How about we compile a list of dealers that will guarentee MSRP (or better :)). In addition, we could list those that will allow deposits to be refundable. If we can get the dealers to put it in writing, all the better. I think some dealers MAY consider going the MSRP route if they will essentially get the equivalent of free advertizing on a site devoted to enthusuasts of the car (many of which tend to buy other mazda models).

I don't think this car will sell way over MSRP for a long period of time since its not a limited edition model, but there could be some price gouging early on.

As informative as that would be, it would draw dealer ads and dealer inquiries to be added to the MSRP dealer list. Dealer ads are verboten per terms of service, and most dealers would rather haggle a tidy additional profit. It's a fine line, and we always welcome enthusiasts reporting a great experience with a dealer, but we want to keep the forum consumer-driven, not being force-fed advertising or selling out to a particular influence. Great idea, though. :)
