Anyone know what the cutoff date is to change the configuration/options of an RX-8 for the first batch (June)?

I was told it was last Wednesday. (January 15th) I hope if details on certain options are changed (how about the sunroof as a stand-alone option, Mazda USA?) Mazda will let those of us who have ordered make changes in these options anyway.

I was told it was last Wednesday. (January 15th) No, I don't think that's correct. I changed my exterior and interior colors on 1/17 and the following week got a printout confirming the change.

I was told the 23rd.

I may have been told wrong, or maybe i just misunderstood. Oh well, I wouldn't want to change my order at this point anyway. Oh yeah, except that sunroof thing.

Where did the Jan 15th date come from?

There seems to be no definitive answer or date for changing configs. Has anybody tried to contact MNAO? I placed my order at the dealer on the 21st (Heritage Mazda, Hungtington Beach, CA) and the saleperson said that you can change colors and options up until the week where they will build your car. They said that Mazda will notify them of a build date and options can be changed up until very close to the build date.

I don't know... the validity to the statements given to me by the dealer.

I'm not sure if my dealer knew for sure. Hopefully, when (if?) we get e-mailed confirmations, Mazda will also give us the full story on changing our orders.
