i'd just gone half a mile, air temp around 5C (41F) and entered the single lane roundabout at 56mph - i know cos i checked just before i turned. the car understeered and i braked. hit the kerb almost side on (rear took some damage too) maybe 5mph sideways, 25 forwards.

two new rims - £460 - amazingly cheap for the uk - that would have been £1000+ for bee emm wheels.

Astor - DSC on. It didnt help - the fronts had no grip - i really didnt realise how much those RE40s have to warm up.

I'd be having a good look at the front suspension too after that hit.

That's ugly. Maybe cause for a wheel upgrade? :)

I don't know how hard you hit the curb, but I had very similar damage to my wheel after being hit by another car. It wasn't a very hard hit and my suspension was fine. It doesn't take too much to punch a hole in these rims.

Loco is right the rims are a bit fragile - but perform ok. They tend to snap more than bend.

Eric - not time for a wheel upgrade, but with one puncture i did take the opportunity to purchase two new S-03s :)

Doesn't look very cool there man. Time to go shopping for new rims, or look for people who already purchased new ones and are looking to sell their old ones.
