I just spoke with someone at Motorsport Ranch road course located in Cresson, TX (DFW area) about the possibility of setting up a track day. I am trying to see if there is enough interest to submit a proposal for our own track day.

Here are the general requirements: I need a minimum of 20 participants but I want to limit the list to about 30-35 cars so the track won't be too crowded. The cost would be $95 per person and it must be paid in advance. I'd collect the money and send it to MSR to reserve our day.

The day would include some in-class sessions, 2 lead and follow sessions and 2 open sessions. I did this last year with the Sube guys (Subaru Daze) and it was really fun.

Helmets are required but I think they have a limited number to rent out at the track.

Since this is just a post to gauge the interest no tentative date has been selected yet. So if you'd seriously be interested please post up here or email me at garylee333@yahoo.com.

I don't plan this on being a Mazda/Nissan/Honda only event as I'd like to have a diverse crowd of cars and skill levels.

So please post if you'd seriously be interested and can pay the $95 in advance. Also, if there is a time of year that would be good to hold this please let me know? I'm thinking late March or April if they have the open dates on a Saturday. Keep in mind I'll need at least a couple months prior to submit the proposal and get approval.

Here's my original post on my Honda board: http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=767118

Thanks!

I'd definately be interested. I have a few friends that would probably be interested too. (rsx, s2k, eclipse, and me with the rx8). The $95 sounds like a good deal too.

The D/FW RX-7 group does this about 4-5 times a year.. you might want to see if any of them are interested :)
