ANIBALRX8 11-24-2010, 01:14 AM so what happened to you on the snow day?

FoxeyL8y 11-24-2010, 01:47 AM well, since im unemployed at the moment, i did what i do everyday!
but i did take my doggies outside for a while to play in the snow. they loved it!
makristal 11-24-2010, 02:07 AM I got to have fun in an Audi all weekend! if there wasn't so much ice, the 8 would've been out!
rotarykillz 11-24-2010, 09:26 AM I love it when it's snowy and icy out and you're going 25mph on a highway (along with everyone else) and some jerk in an AWD comes up and is riding your ass like everyone on the highway has an AWD! lol sorry first comment made me think of that!
paimon.soror 11-24-2010, 10:49 AM Damn i need it to snow here on the east coast. My car needs purpose for its currently equipped snow tires lol. Everyday i drive on dry payment i am pissing away money grr
makristal 11-24-2010, 10:53 AM Hahahaha, I think we would've been happy with snow also...We just got ice. Any snowflakes which touched the ground on Monday instantly turned to Ice over the course of the afternoon.
paimon.soror 11-24-2010, 11:05 AM oh damn lol i see i see. Yea over here the weather is getting friggin irritating. Today its like 35-45F ... tomorrow it is apparantly supposed to get to 65F .... then the day after back to 35F....
pdxhak 11-24-2010, 11:37 AM I am working from home all week. And I dropped my car off at the shop for a big gulp of breath of fresh air.
makristal 11-24-2010, 11:38 AM Yeah, my 8 hasn't moved for 6 days, and I remember it being under the E when I turned it off last...Ooops....But I scrubbed it clean of ice and snow!
Anijo 11-24-2010, 12:20 PM Lets see, Monday I was sick and went home at 3, drove home with no drama whatsoever, took some nyquil and slept for 14hrs. The next morning, I walked to one of the buildings at work and used my laptop for a while but was still feeling groggy and sick, so I went home after a couple hours and went back to sleep.
In the afternoon, I drove to work, up a snowy hill from my apartment, with no drama at all on my All Season tires. I worked for a few more hours then drove to Northgate, did a little shopping, then went to my friend's restaurant. I hung out for a while, and then it was ON.
I hit every parking lot I could find along 99 around Northgate, burned like 1/3rd of a tank doing donuts :D: Unplowed, empty parking lots are like a giant playground :)
In total, my trip counter tells me I drove 50 miles yesterday. Never once did I spin out or get stuck. I got into ABS once in a parking lot stopping for some silly pedestrians who walked out from between 2 cars and I couldn't see them at first behind the A-pillar. Seriously, unless you had to go downtown and deal with the steep hills, all-season tires were FINE yesterday.
Not enough snow or ice here to worry about. We had just under 1/2" in the neighborhoods, but my new summer tires didn't care. Been driving the 8 every day now, which is more than usual. And my poor bike has been stuck sitting in the garage, but it still has slicks anyway.
dondo 11-24-2010, 01:48 PM it took me 5.5 hours to get from renton to redmond. booooo.
pdxhak 11-24-2010, 01:54 PM ^that sucks! yesterday they interviewed people that were stuck in traffic and they all had horror stories like that.
9krpmrx8 11-24-2010, 01:55 PM Snow Day? What's that?
FoxeyL8y 11-24-2010, 02:44 PM it took me 5.5 hours to get from renton to redmond. booooo.

makristal 11-24-2010, 03:43 PM Took me 20 minutes to get home from Bellevue to Kirkland....Not to steal your thunder Dondo <3
pdxhak 11-24-2010, 03:47 PM Man my commute really sucked today. I had to wait a few minutes for the coffee to brew and both laptops to boot up before I could sit down and read email.
FoxeyL8y 11-24-2010, 03:49 PM lol  same story here! aint it rough?
makristal 11-24-2010, 08:50 PM You work from home PDX? What'chu'do?
pdxhak 11-24-2010, 09:03 PM LOL I think my job title is SR Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer 3. I forgot what it is after I started my new job a couple of months ago. Basically I support web servers and web applications running on LINUX and UNIX servers. I am working from home this week due to the weather and because it is a short holiday week. In the near future I will be working from home a lot if not full time :)
VashCloud 11-24-2010, 09:22 PM Well I gotta funny story. Driving my wifys car from gig harbor target to last exit before bridge. I was going like 34 mph. Guy in mustang gets on my ass and rides it, then trys to pass me and rev his engine. I slow down immediately, as he loses control and smashes into the guard rail!
^_^ HAHAHAHAA! I gave him the thumbs up and keep going. That was a GREAT day, death to mustangs.
FoxeyL8y 11-24-2010, 09:29 PM what a fucking retard!! lol
ANIBALRX8 11-25-2010, 12:58 PM I love it when it's snowy and icy out and you're going 25mph on a highway (along with everyone else) and some jerk in an AWD comes up and is riding your ass like everyone on the highway has an AWD! lol sorry first comment made me think of that!
I don't do that went I was doing 40mph and last year I did do 60 mph, it was on the hwy with no cars around in front or in back of me. I keep my distance, that is why people wreck and fall in a dish all the time here, and it does not matter what the weather is here, people in this state ride your ass all the time and then the get mad and past you, give you the finger, and all I think is what the f***, I am going 5 or 10 mph over the speed limit!!!
anyway, am glad to see that no one got in a wreck or stuck in a ditch!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
