So just bought my 8 today :) 2004 grand touring model black :) Wondering if there are any meets around Olympia, WA? I've been a member of the RX7 forum for awhile (since I used to have one) so I know about that just wondering if there was anything going on here.

most of the meets in washington are up north but welcome to rx8club

Welcome! Glad you're proud of your new 8, I hope you have lots of good times with it.

I don't really know much about meets up your way, I'm in Corvallis OR, sorry I can't help too much there. However, there are a number of drive and meets during the summer in the Portland/Vancouver area. IIRC, pdxhak is responsible for several of those.

Welcome to the scene! Good to see another black one around! If you ever have a chance we have Dick's meets in Seattle often, so there's always a chance of you coming up and meeting some of the crew!

Oi, it will be hard for me to get up to Seattle or Portland for a little while, but it's nice to know that they exist. So I just got my beauty yesterday and I am absolutely loving the drive! I went to a 80hp car to my 8, BIG driving difference.

pdxhak, was that you who posted the thread about oil? That was super helpful, but that's the only thread I saw linked in there.

You know I never considered black, I'm usually a bright red fan but I really like this car in black with the red interior. Mods won't be coming in until next year when it's paid off, my first one is superficial and it's going to be a giant wing. I've always wanted one even though I can't find anyone who shares my love, but who cares it's mine :) Next having a dragon painted (not vinyl) on both sides then I start getting to the innards. I'm pretty happy with the current power and handling so that's not an immediate concern.

Driving this thing in the rain is FUUUUNNN!!
